Big Brother VIP's Luke Toki stuns viewers with ‘power move’: ‘Ultimate blindside’
Just when the celebrity contestants started getting comfortable on Big Brother VIP, Wednesday night’s episode definitely switched things up.
Ex-Survivor star Luke Toki shocked fans and housemates alike when he decided to use his secret power to disappear from the game completely.
Luke was put up for eviction alongside actor Bernard Curry and model Ellie Gonsalves by content creator Josh Carroll, but he had a surprise up his sleeve.
Unbeknownst to his fellow contestants, the 35-year-old received an advantage after winning the group challenge which allowed him to hide in a secret room of the hotel when the time came to vote someone out.
His game-changing move left this season’s two biggest players and ‘power couple’ Bernard and Ellie each with a 50 per cent chance of going home.

Things couldn’t get any more awkward at the eviction ceremony when the pair realised that their plan to evict Luke had failed.
Speaking with host Sonia Kruger, Ellie said: “It doesn’t feel nice Sonia, it’s not great. Especially since there is one other person who’s supposed to be sitting here, but has been taken out of the mix.”
“It completely changes everything,” Bernard echoed.
In the end, Bernard ended up receiving all of the votes and became the fifth contestant evicted from the Big Brother Hotel this season.
Fans online had plenty of thoughts about Luke’s ‘power move’, with many calling his actions “epic”.
“I’m obsessed with Luke,” one person wrote, while another added, “Go Luke go!”
“Luke is the bomb, go all the way you legend,” someone else tweeted, with a fourth remarking, “Luke completed his mission as usual even when he wasn’t in the room”.
“The look on Bernard’s and Ellie’s face was priceless when Luke was out of this eviction because it ruined their plan,” a different user shared, followed by someone else who said Luke’s move “definitely brought those two down a few levels.”
“It’s the ultimate blindside because they couldn’t even pitch for themselves,” another said.
Meanwhile, other viewers weren’t as impressed with the situation as they thought it was too similar to what happened earlier this year on season 13.
“The entire episode was set around their big ‘twist’ where Luke gets to escape out of the House and avoid eviction. See, that would be a twist if we didn't watch the exact same thing happen with Danny and Ari LESS THAN SIX MONTHS AGO,” a fan tweeted.
Big Brother VIP continues Monday-Wednesday 7:30pm on Channel Seven.
