There are two types of friends in this world: the kind who would give you the shirt off their back, tell you you're beautiful even when you look a fright, and be your ultimate hype girl 24/7. And then there are those who will roast the absolute living daylights out of you, never let you forget the time you mispronounced the word "quinoa", and go out of their way to ensure every small embarrassment lives on forever.

Well, TikTok has just blessed us with the ultimate example of the latter and the internet is rolling on the floor laughing...14 million viewers and counting can't be wrong! TikToker Tayla Sawyer has taken bestie shenanigans to the next level, sharing footage of herself driving with a friend, overlaying the caption, "POV: Am I a sh*t friend?" Spoiler alert: the answer is...kinda!?

The video quickly cuts to a montage of clips showing Sawyer's friend blissfully unaware with a velcro hair roller prominently positioned in her fringe. Get that curl, girl!

She’s in the car, she’s walking into a bar, she’s sipping a drink in a booth – all the while rocking that rogue roller. Sawyer's video description reads: "Seeing how long it takes for my bestie to realise she has gone out with her roller still in," and the final punchline, "CRYING!"

This is the kind of chaotic bestie energy we all needs in our lives. The comments section exploded with people losing their collective minds in hilarity. With the clip set to the tune of "I'm Just a Girl" by No Doubt, one user quipped, "My man said 'I'm just a curl' and I'm dyyyyying."

Another comment summed it up perfectly: "A friend would tell her, a BEST friend records it and puts it on TikTok."

Another chimed in with the ultimate bestie mantra: "Best friends mess with each other. It's what we do!" echoing the sentiment of the entire internet.

"Legend has it she still hasn't noticed it's there," someone else joked.

The video quickly became a sensation, drawing a flood of comments from users who could relate all too well. "I would 100% not tell my best friend and I know for a fact that she would do the same!" echoed another kindred spirit.

Among the comments that thought the clip was positively hilarious, there were many others who wondered one very important question: HOW did the friend not notice?

"How does she not know 😭😭 I touch my hair at least 30 times an hour," one person said while another agreed, "I would have touched my hair 50 times by then lol."

"You’re telling me you made it this far in the night without selfies??? 😂," another person probed.

"She definitely knew that was there 😂," said another.

Others were less concerned about whether the best friend knew about the roller and more eager for a follow up TikTok with the big revelation.

"We need a video reaction when she realises!" demanded one eager follower, and the desire for a sequel was universal. Another added with admiration, "Honestly, she's so pretty it doesn't matter."

"This is what real friendship looks like," proclaimed one commenter, while several others pointed out that the hairstyle was giving serious "Something About Mary" vibes.

"That's mean. Do it again," laughed a mischievous viewer.

"Yeah, but she pulls it off tho!" noted one more supportive fan.

"I died laughing, but yeah that's messed up!"

"I wanna pay for your drinks for letting this happen," one generous soul proved that some pranks are worth a free round.

In the end, what the internet wanted more than the original video was a follow-up showing her friend's reaction when she finally found out. Tayla, don't leave us hanging, we're all waiting for part two – and we hope it’s just as epic!
