The Block winners Mitch and Mark share major announcement: ‘Congrats!’

They took home $745,000 after winning The Block: Fans v Faves last month, and now Mitch Edwards and Mark Mckie have revealed their next exciting venture.

The fashionable grandparents took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that they’ve opened up their very own homewares store in Newport, NSW.

“mitch and mark HOME store is now open, please drop by and say hi!!!! 7 Robertson Road Newport NSW,” they captioned a video showcasing their launch event.

Several reality TV stars attended the store’s grand opening, including their former Block competitors Luke and Josh Packham and Kirsty Lee Akers and Jesse Anderson.

Also making appearances in the Instagram clip were MAFS couple Cam Merchant and Jules Robinson and My Kitchen Rules judge Colin Fassnidge.

“Thank you so much for coming down to share with us our next adventure!” Mitch told the crowd outside the store.

The couple first launched their brand, mitch and mark HOME, in November last year with the description: “Decor objects to add joy, visual and aromatic bliss.”

Their website shows that they sell a variety of products, including diffusers, body wash, and a wide range of scented candles between $54.95 and $137.50. From the video, it appears that their new store also has towels, pillows and robes available to buy.

A number of the reality TV duo’s social media followers took to the comments to applaud them on their huge success and wish them all the best.

“How absolutely exciting for you both,” one person wrote, followed by another who said they “Can’t wait to drop in!”.

“Congratulations, Mitch and Mark, you have worked so hard for the dream to become a reality. I know it will be a huge success, cheers to you both,” a third added.

“Good luck with this venture guys… You have the magic touch so success must surely follow,” someone else shared.

Mitch and Mark's announcement comes shortly after they spoke out about The Block’s judges and why contestants shouldn’t always listen to them.

“The judges are not good predictors of success on The Block. To next year's contestants, stick to your guns. You don’t need to listen to them,” Mark told Fitzy & Wippa.

“We had a plan from the beginning to the end and at the very end Shaynna [Blaze] said, ‘Oh I get it now, I have to eat my words’. And I was like, ‘Well get a big shovel doll because there’s a lot of them!’,” he joked.
