The Block viewers turn on 'backstabbing' teams over cruel behaviour: 'So disappointed'

Most of The Block teams are being slammed by fans of the show, with many shocked by their cruel behaviour.

The Block viewers have turned on pretty much all the teams now for their cruel behaviour towards Maddy and Charlotte from House One. The drama quickly kicked off after the other Blockheads found out that the girls had previously renovated and sold a house and are in the process of renovating several more.

The contestants complained that the girls have a leg-up in the competition due to these experiences, without considering the fact that many of the teams include a professional tradie, which would be incredibly useful. Fans were quick to turn on Mimi and Kristian after Mimi claimed the girls hadn't told her about their previous experience, saying they "lied to my face", seemingly forgetting the fact they had, indeed, told her about this experience not long after they arrived.

It seems Mimi was attempting to win favour with the other teams by pretending the girls had lied to her, but fans weren't into it.

"So disappointed in your lies, you knew the girls had flipped houses, but you chose to follow the drama instead and how can you all be so damn rude to them," one Instagram user wrote. "Childish."

"Lovely bathroom but I can’t look past Mimi who knew about the girls flipping homes and then joined the other teams to back stab them," another agreed. "Shows your character."

"Mimi is showing her true self," a third said. "The girls told her they flip houses. So why is she acting like she’s never heard it."

Others agreed, using words that we can't publish here...

The Block teams, Kylie and Brad not clapping for Maddie and Charlotte

Many also slammed Kylie and Brad, who didn't clap or smile when Maddy and Charlotte won the week with their Guest Bathroom.

Kylie went so far as to claim "the competition is rigged" because the girls won the first room they were fully responsible after Jesse and Paige left.

"Kylie and Brad didn’t clap or show any sort of response. The common decency to be a good sport would have been nice. To have someone not even crack a smile is hurtful. Like, what have I done?" Maddy said.

Charlotte wondered if they would have to "lose every week of The Block just to be friends with them".

Kylie and Brad also led the charge to turn the other teams against Maddy and Charlotte in a display of major hypocrisy, given many contestants have downplayed their previous renovating experience over the years.

Ricky, who hid the fact he'd lined up a real estate agent before arriving in Phillip Island, even said, "I don't know why you'd hide it," of Maddy and Charlotte's experience.

Viewers slammed the two teams, with one writing about Kylie, "Babe you really need to hold a mirror up to yourself and ask yourself why you are so spiteful towards the girls. It’s really not a good look, it’s actually really poor form and sportsmanship. The girls aren’t responsible for Jesse and Paige leaving."

"They say 'we don’t even know these girls' but honestly they have put 0 effort into talking to them," another said. "They actually need to grow up, disappointing to watch them treat the girls with such little respect."

"For Brad to say that the girls are the most hated pair on The Block, get a mirror out mate," a third said.

"Brad has two trades and he is scared of two young ladies that have flipped one house and are in the process of renovating 3 others! GROW UP," someone else wrote.

Meanwhile, fan favourites Ricky and Haydn are fan favourites no more, judging by the comments they received on Instagram, with one user writing, "I was on your team until you stopped being the nice guys and turned on the poor girls! Think how you’d feel if you came in late and everyone was so awful to you! We all know you can do better."

"Really disappointed in how you boys have acted over treating the new girls," another said. "Expected better tbh."

"Ricky says he’s been doing bathrooms for 16 years! Why so threatened by the girls?" a third said.

"l really liked the boys at the start, and that’s why I kept watching this season. Now... I’m only watching it because I want the girls to do really well," another said. "Boys, you disappointed us. I thought you had better morals and values than this."
