The Block fans were left unimpressed with Jesse on Monday night after an interaction with Foreman Dan which viewers have branded as "disrespectful". Jesse and Paige have proven to be very divisive so far and, as we all now know, leave the series a few weeks in.

“Jesse and Paige asked themselves a real question: Is the chance of making money worth risking their relationship?” a source told Yahoo Lifestyle about their exit. “Channel Nine gave them the go-ahead to leave the show after some heated exchanges on their hot microphones. It was a really tough decision, but both Jesse and Paige believe Australia will embrace their decision positively.”

The heated exchanges are not contained to their relationship, with Jesse swearing at Foreman Dan after he asked for crucial wall measurements over the phone. The couple were out shopping for tiles, which meant Jesse couldn't provide the measurements to pass on to the builder despite the cut-off time being two hours earlier. When Foreman Dan jumped on the call to tell Jesse he had 10 minutes to send it all through, Jesse saw red.

"It's a bit impossible when we've just got to our consultation deciding about tiles," Jesse said.

" Tiles shouldn't matter," Dan replied.

"It does f**king matter mate, what are you on about?" Jesse hit back angrily, with Dan looking very unimpressed, telling him, "I don't appreciate being sworn to."

As a result of that one call, Dan tells him they've officially missed their cut-off time and won't be getting their walls installed tomorrow like the other teams.

Later, as Jesse was doing his piece to camera, he admitted to swearing at Dan in front of Paige, who appeared shocked – which is also somewhat of a surprise given Paige's history of being rude with contractors on the show and the fact that she was, you know, right there when Jesse was on the phone.

"Hang on - Paige was standing right next to Jesse when he swore at Dan - so why was she acting like she was shocked???" one user wrote on X.

"Because she’s acting up to the camera about his personality, last week she said 'that is so out of character for him' regarding yelling," another responded.

Others pointed out that it was somewhat ironic that she would be surprised by Jesse's comment when she's said similar things to him on the show.

The Block fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the matter, with one user writing on Facebook, "Swearing at Dan is so disrespectful. No True Core Tuesday for House 1."

"Poor Dan," one Redditor said. "It’s not nice being openly disrespected, lied to and abused. I’d crack it too. Get Keithy onto ‘em all!"

"Finally, Dan is taking a leaf from P***ed Off Keith’s book and I’m here for it!" another said.

"Why is Dan such a hard a**?" one questioned, with another responding, "I would be if someone swore at me. It’s just basic common decency."

"The year of lying and swearing on #TheBlock," one X user complained. "Needs more made up drama and less building."

"[Where] the hell did they get all these dodgy contestants from this year? Pentridge?" another joked, referencing the former Victorian prison. "Fraud, lying, skirting authority, swearing at [foremen]. What a pack of ratbags!"

The Block's Paige addresses rumours they're leaving the show

It comes after Paige finally addressed the speculation she and Jesse will leave The Block in week five. Taking to Instagram on Sunday night, Paige answered questions about it in a Q&A. She first referenced their exit after sharing a screenshot from a Facebook group that read: "The real reason that Jesse/Paige leave is because they wanted to go to Europe and Cyprus for his 30th birthday. The show fell for it."

One viewer pointed out that the photos the couple is sharing on Instagram now aren't from when the show was filmed, "They are on holidays in the Mediterranean with friends now. Well Paige was posting on Instagram a few days ago. Filming finished months ago so I don't think that staying on the show would have effected the dates they wanted to travel. Omar and Oz headed to Bali during the show airing so I don't think they are unable to travel when the filming has finished."

Paige jokingly commented, "We were not prepared to give up our Euro Summer."

"Do you really leave The Block to go to Cyprus!?" one person asked.

"I would've done anything to go see this one," Paige said, sharing a snap of herself and a friend. "But leave The Block to go on holiday... come on."

"Do you think the show's edits are accurate or portrayed you guys differently?" another asked, with Paige simply replying, "Editing is a wild, wild thing."
