Sydney Sweeney Layers Up in McQueen Leather Jacket in New York

Sydney Sweeney put an edgy spin on winterwear this Sunday in New York. The actress stepped out in a full look from McQueen’s pre-spring 2025 collection.

Consisting of a leather jacket and a matching pleated miniskirt, her look also featured a ribbed wool cashmere sweater with an oversize collar. Sweeney’s accessories, a black T-Bar handbag and Logo sunglasses, were also from the British label. Sheer tights and calf-length boots completed her look.

The “Euphoria” star was styled by Molly Dickson, who also dresses stars like Bella Hadid, Lana Del Rey and Sadie Sink of “Stranger Things” fame.

Sweeney also favored a leather silhouette at a Brooklyn Nets game late last month. Channeling the basketball team’s signature colors of black and white, she wore head-to-toe Celine.

The actress layered a leather jacket over one of the French label’s embroidered Triomphe tanks. She also added on a pair of flared low-rise jeans, completing her look with leather ankle boots and a Camille handbag.

Speaking to WWD in November, Dickson explained her decision to outfit Sweeney in a three-piece Tom Ford short suit at the opening of RH Newport Beach.

“This was Sydney’s first appearance after being away for filming so we were excited to do something different,” Dickson said. “Like always, we took into consideration the location of the event and this being in Newport we wanted something that was effortless but still elevated for an evening event.”

Dickson leaned into the suiting trend, citing the runways of Gucci, Ferragamo, Givenchy and Prada as inspiration.

“There is such great suiting for fall and I love suits for their inherent flexibility — wear them as a full set or break them up into separates and then do it all over again,” Dickson added. “We had other options that were more cocktail, specifically a bright red cocktail dress, but given the event was with Restoration Hardware we felt this Tom Ford suit set was the perfect complement to the brand’s aesthetic — cool, relaxed but still luxurious.”
