The Talk Ends 15-Season Run on CBS With Emotional Plea to Viewers: ‘Talk to One Another, Don’t Fight!’
After 15 seasons (“2,993 episodes to be exact,” according to co-host Natalie Morales), CBS aired its final episode of The Talk on Friday, and the gang did not go quietly.
Amanda Kloots, who became a co-host in 2021 when The Talk was still being done over Zoom, was the first to break down as she reflected on what the show — specifically its title — has meant to her over the years.

“I’m so grateful [to be able to talk],” she said through tears. “And I think we can’t forget that. Listen to each other. Talk to one another. Don’t fight with each other. Really appreciate each other’s opinions. Because that’s what we got to do everyday, and it was so beautiful. That’s what this show has always been about. It’s about talking, not fighting, and really being a part of each other’s family. I hope that’s what you guys took away from this.” (Wait, was that a not-so-subtle dig at The View, a show that has become very much about fighting?)
Akbar Gbajabiamila echoed Kloots’ sentiment, adding, “I hope that what we’ve modeled here is replicated throughout the world. We can have good conversations, be a difference, but have love and respect for each other.”
Of course, the waterworks didn’t stop there. Much of the hour consisted of video montages from years past, and all five co-hosts got emotional as they looked back at 15 years of Talk-ing. (And we felt extremely old as we were reminded about former co-hosts we’d totally forgotten. Leah Remini? Marissa Jaret Winokur?? Marie Osmond???)
Howie Mandel was also on hand for the first (and last) official Talk Awards. “Nikki Glaser gets the Golden Globes, I get this,” he said as he presented the co-hosts with their individual honors: Morales got the Talky for Best Competitor, Gbajabiamila got Most Likely to Crash a Cooking Segment, Kloots got Pillow Prizefighter, Underwood got Best 1-800 Shout-Out, and O’Connell got Best Performance by a Topless Host.
The hour ended with The Talk‘s cast and crew assembling on stage to raise a glass of champagne, toasting 15 seasons of laughs, tears and — most importantly — talking.
