Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster in loved up new photos that prove they're officially a couple
The pair, who have known each other for 20 years, looked very happy while out on a dinner date in Santa Monica.
After months of speculation about Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster's relationship status, the two Broadway stars have been seen out in public together hand in hand. In photos obtained by People, Hugh and Sutton can be seen looking happy as they walk down a street in Santa Monica on their way to dinner.
The pair, who have known each other for 20 years and appeared in The Music Man together, looked very chic on their dinner date with Sutton wearing a tan trench coat over her olive green dress. Hugh, meanwhile, donned a dark jacket over a grey shirt and white jeans.
The sighting comes more than a year after Hugh and his ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness shocked the world and ended their 27-year marriage in 2023. The couple, who had been known as one of Hollywood's rare success stories, share children Oscar Maximilian Jackman, 24; and daughter Ava Eliot Jackman, 19.
At the time, they said, "We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth."
Sutton announced her separation from her husband, Ted Griffin, in 2024. The couple has one child, a daughter named Emily.

How long have Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster been dating?
Rumours first started swirling about the talented duo in the second half of 2024, with a source telling Page Six that Hugh and Sutton were "in love" and inseparable but had been careful to stay out of the public eye.
The source added that the couple were sneaking around to avoid being caught in public.
The speculation intensified in October 2024 after Deborah liked a post uploaded by Tasha Lustig, in which the UK pop culture reporter spoke about the rumoured relationship between Hugh and Sutton and said that Furness had allegedly been "blindsided".
Deborra-Lee's friend British media personality Amanda de Cadenet responded by writing, "You are on point with this one. My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment fyi!”
Hugh and Sutton's 20-year friendship
The chemistry between Hugh and Sutton has always been strong, with the actors gushing about each other in interviews and Sutton sharing plenty of snaps of her and the Aussie star on her Instagram over the years of them being friends and colleagues.
Sutton told Vogue in 2022 what it was like to work with Hugh, saying, "He has an impeccable reputation of being the hardest-working man, incredibly kind, and generous — and all of that is true. He disarms everyone, and he doesn’t make anything about him."

She added, "He’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise, because you usually go into these things thinking, 'Well, I hope we get along.' But we just spent Memorial Day with our families. It’s really fun to meet new friends after 40."
Fans react to Hugh and Sutton's debut as a couple
Following People posting the photos of Sutton and Hugh on Instagram, fans were quick to rush to the comment section to share their thoughts.
"I feel so sorry for his wife — who was blindsided by this relationship," one person wrote.
"His poor ex. That pain is like no other," another added.
"How sad for his former wife," was another remark.
However, there were plenty of fans who shared their support for the pairing.
"He's dating someone of his age, same tastes, I think they're maybe soulmates. Leave them alone 🙌❤️❤️," one said.
"They look so happy! They cute! Happiness for you both!🫶I love u both," another wrote.
"He looks really happy. Sometimes people split up and it's ok. They look happy together. ❤️," a third added.
