Sunrise's Sam Mac has meltdown live on-air: 'I can feel tears'
Sunrise weather presenter Sam Mac got to experience first-hand what going into labour is like in a hilarious segment that left fans in stitches.
Lyz Evans, from Women in Focus Physiotherapy, strapped some electrodes to Sam's stomach on Friday morning to give him a taste of what labour is like, while his pregnant partner Rebecca James watched on in delight.
Sam was obviously nervous as Lyz used the electrodes to ramp up the pain, with Sam then starting to melt down as the fake contractions began.
"Now I can feel it. OK, so what it is is, oh, so it was like someone was sort of hitting me," he said.
"But now it's kind of just like I feel like I've touched a barbed wire fence but only [with my stomach]. "
As Sam struggled through the pain, Lyz informed him the severity was only a one out of 10 of what labour is really like.
"Is my face going red?" he asks.
"You're sweating a lot," David Koch says from back in the studio.

Sam then moves from the bed to a gym ball to try and alleviate some of the pain he is feeling as he yells, "Epidural, epidural".
"I can actually feel tears starting to come out of my eyes a little," he tells Kochie and Nat Barr.
"Don't you guys need to cross to the Commonwealth Games or something?"
Sam then starts to scream, "I can feel it, I can feel it", before he yells, "Women are superior".
Once the electrodes are turned off Sam breathes a sigh of relief.
"That was about, what, three minutes?" Nat mocks.
"There's another couple of hours to go," Kochie adds.
Fans lose it over hilarious segment
Fans lost it over the hilarious segment, with one saying it was "priceless".
"That was the best ever," one commented.
"Try 30 hours," another claimed.
"And this pain is nothing compared to the long hours of labour," a third added.
Earlier this year, Sam and his girlfriend announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Chatting with Yahoo Lifestyle on the Logies red carpet in June, Sam said that “everything is going great” at the moment for himself and his partner.
“Baby on the way, final trimester,” he shared. “It’s scary, but anyone who’s been through that knows that.
“And juggling that with my travel is challenging, but that’s part of the gig. So yeah, I’m in a good place, I’m really happy.”
Sam and Rebecca have been dating since 2020 and revealed last October that they had bought a home in Sydney’s Inner West together.
