Sunrise fans urge Seven to replace Kochie and Nat Barr: 'Goodbye'

Sunrise hosts David ‘Kochie’ Koch and Natalie Barr have been away over the Christmas break, and fans have called on producers to make their absence permanent. Monique Wright and Mark Beretta have stepped in to replace the Brekky Central hosts during the holidays and are firm fan favourites.

Edwina Bartholomew joined Monique and Mark on Wednesday to recreate The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights viral dance on Instagram. The hilarious video began with Monique and Mark jogging to the beat before adding some synchronised arm movements.

The pair looked confident as they pulled out the dab and some swimming moves. For the big finale, Mark threw his hands out to the side before being lifted into the air by Monique and Edwina.

The clip quickly racked up over 75,000 views and attracted hundreds of comments from amused fans.

“You guys are so much fun!” one fan gushed.

“Oh Beretts those Dancing with the Stars lessons were not in vain! Nice footwork and arm lines,” another quipped.

“Could not love you guys any more,” a third commented.

Many also urged Seven to consider keeping Monique, Mark and Edwina at the helm.

“I just love [these] guys, it’s so refreshing having them on,” a viewer wrote.

“Absolutely, need to get [rid] of the others full time and keep James Tobin for the weather,” another agreed.

“I’d love to see Mon, Matt [Shirvo], Beretts and Eddy every day too! They seem to really like each other and have such genuine fun!!! Weekend Sunrise is always the best,” another remarked.
