Sam Frost shares intimate hospital video of her son's first moments: 'We love you'

Sam Frost has shared a sweet video on social media celebrating the first few moments of her newborn son’s life in the hospital.

The former Home and Away actress and her partner, Australian Survivor star Jordie Hansen, welcomed their first child together on March 7 - a baby boy named Theodore Paul Frost-Hansen.

Taking to Instagram on Monday evening, Sam posted a montage of intimate moments before and after giving birth set to the song Photograph by Ed Sheeran.

The clip opens with a heavily pregnant Sam wearing a pink hospital gown as she playfully poses for the camera and lies on her hospital bed. The ex-Bachelorette is then shown holding her newborn on her chest as he wears a blue knitted beanie.

The video also shows Jordie cradling his son and kissing his forehead before the couple’s relatives arrive at the hospital and meet Theodore for the first time.

Sam’s sister Kristine, with who Sam co-founded the mental health website Believe By Sam Frost, is seen picking up her nephew while Sam’s brother and Jordie’s former Survivor competitor Alex gives a thumbs up to the camera.

'The most incredible experience'

Alongside the video, Sam shared a lengthy caption thanking her friends, family and followers for “all the kind comments, messages and love” over the past fortnight.

“We are extremely appreciative, and have felt all the love, thank you,” she wrote.

“I’m so glad @jordie.hansen brought his good camera to the hospital to capture these moments. It was honestly the most incredible experience. We are grateful for the midwives who took great care of us and our Teddy, in particular Emily & Sarah. True angels!”

Sam went on to say that she “couldn’t love anything more” than she loves her two boys, Jordie and Ted.

“My heart feels like it could burst with love and happiness,” she continued. “Jord and I have laughed, cried and held each other late at night… reminding one another that they’re doing an amazing job.

“Thank you Ted for choosing us to be your parents. We love you so much.”

'So beautiful'

Sam and Jordie’s famous followers quickly took to the comments to praise the sweet video, with Rebecca Gibney calling it “so special”.

“This makes me smile. So hard. So beautiful seeing you & the fam so happy!” Sam’s former Home and Away co-star Sarah Roberts wrote.

“This is so beautiful and special. Thank you for sharing it,” Sam’s ex-radio-co-host Rove McManus added.

“Your joy is so beautiful to see Sam,” Lisa Wilkinson shared, followed by Danielle Spencer who said, “Your little Teddy is absolutely beautiful, sending lots of love”.
