Sam Frost and Jordie Hansen announce pregnancy through song

Just over two months after announcing their engagement, former Home and Away actress Sam Frost and Survivor star Jordie Hansen have announced that they are expecting their first child together.

The couple, who began dating at the start of this year after Jordie competed on the latest season of Survivor against Sam’s brother Alex, took to Instagram on Sunday evening to share the news with a sweet post.

“There is a tiny human coming soon… everyone act surprised when he inevitably inherits his parents' odd sense of humour,” they wrote in the caption.

“We don’t take ourselves or life too seriously, and we’re hoping to teach our tiny one the same values we share… the importance of being unapologetically yourself, always finding the fun and humour in all the small things, and that being kind, loving and empathetic is a superpower.”

They went on to thank their family and friends for all of their support so far and for being such “excellent secret keepers”.

“We are extremely excited and grateful for our tiny miracle,” they continued. “Your mum & dad love you so much already xxxx.”

Alongside a photo of themselves sharing a kiss while holding up an ultrasound image, the pair posted a video of Jordie playing the acoustic guitar and Sam singing a quirky song about her pregnancy.

“When’s it lunchtime? I am starving,” the former Bachelorette star sang.

“He said, ‘Babe, it’s only 9 o’clock,’ so I said, ‘Fine, I’m going back to sleep’.

“He says, ‘All you do is eat and sleep,’ I said, ‘That’s not true, I throw up too’.”

Jordie then began humming and whistling while Sam continued: “One of us is growing a baby - and it’s not you.”

“I said, ‘I think I’d know, I was there’,” Jordie concluded.

‘Huge congrats’

A number of Sam and Jordie’s famous followers quickly took to the comments to congratulate them on their exciting news, including plenty of former Bachelor stars.

“Aaaahhhh CONGRATULATIONS!!!! This is so wonderful!” Georgia Love wrote, while Anna Heinrich added, “Congratulations SAM. Very happy for you both xxx”.

“Congrats guys!” Brittany Hockley replied, followed by Laura Byrne who said, “Congratulations beautiful”.

“Just beautiful news Sam. Huge congrats,” Lisa Wilkinson remarked.

“Bravo ya cuties!!! Very exciting x” Jordie’s Survivor competitor Samantha Gash shared, with Sam’s Home And Away co-star Ada Nicodemou writing, “The best news! Congratulations to both of you, what a blessing”.
