Rebel Wilson's 'disgusting' on-air confession: 'Just had to come out'
She might live an A-list life of private jets, fancy parties and famous friends, but even Rebel Wilson has an embarrassing tale or two that she's kept under wraps — until now.
The 41-year-old spilled her guts in an episode of Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne's podcast, Life Uncut which was recorded in Rebel's Sydney home.
The trio chatted about how Rebel's malaria-induced hallucinations spurred on her acting career as well as the moment she met her 'hall pass,' Brad Pitt before reaching the 'Accidentally Unfiltered' segment of the episode.
This is when listeners or guests reveal a cringeworthy story that they'd rather not remember and for Rebel, it was a 'disgusting' incident that she'd never talked about publicly.
The Pitch Perfect star set the scene, telling Laura and Britt that she'd been living in a one-bedroom apartment in Los Angeles in 2011, shortly after landing her first major US role in Bridesmaids.
Rebel explained that she'd been having a 'down day' and had consumed a whole pizza and a bottle of Pepsi before deciding to get some exercise.

"I was like, 'Why did I go and eat all of that?' So then I thought, 'I’m going to fix this, I’m going to go out for a walk'," she said.
Soon after setting out on her favourite route in the Hollywood Hills, near Griffith Observatory she had an 'instant feeling' in her stomach that couldn't be ignored.
"It hit me, it was all inside – and it just had to come out," she said as Laura and Britt erupted in giggles.
Knowing she couldn't make it to the public toilet nor back to her flat, Rebel was in a desperate position that required desperate measures.
She could've knocked on someone's door and asked to use their bathroom but, due to her recent appearance in Bridesmaids, she was 'kind of recognisable' and couldn't face the awkwardness.
Unable to hold it in any longer, Rebel was resigned to having her very own Bridesmaids moment just like Maya Rudolph's character in that infamous wedding dress scene.
"I thought, 'I’m going to have to go in someone’s lawn.’ Then I saw this nice house... It had a nice front garden, nicely-mowed grass, and I just thought, 'That’s the one'."
Rebel got down to business in a bush — which "didn’t provide much coverage" — when a car pulled up outside the house prompting her to come up with a hilarious cover story on the spot.
"I’m still squatting on the front lawn, it’s so disgusting, so my mind goes, 'If they come and saw something, I’m just going to scream that I’m pregnant'."
Thankfully, the car ended up driving into another driveway, leaving Rebel to finish heeding the call of nature and make a quick exit.
Despite the Covid pandemic, Rebel has spent a large part of the last two years jetting around the globe.
Back in December, she was granted an exemption from NSW's mandatory three-day quarantine for overseas travellers after flying into Sydney to walk the AACTA awards red carpet.
Unlike other international arrivals, the Aussie jet-setter was able to skip the required 72-hour isolation period and instead enjoyed a visit to a local park just hours after touching down from LA.
Recently, she was in Fiji filming a stunning ad for Tourism Fiji which saw her explore the popular holiday destination in a variety of dazzling outfits.
Earlier on, Rebel shared snaps to her Instagram account from her trips to Mexico, Rome, Saint Tropez, Paris, NYC and LA.
And back in September, she celebrated her 41st birthday with an extravagant party with her closest friends on a private French Polynesian island dubbed 'Rebel Island'.
The star and her pals — including Pitch Perfect co-stars including Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick — enjoyed themed movie nights and even a tennis tournament, aptly named 'Rebeldon' during their stay.
There was also a lot of beach time, where Rebel posed in a red one-piece swimsuit to show off her 30kg weight loss transformation.
