My Kitchen Rules' Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge may be a dynamic duo now with their bromance now a staple of the hit cooking show over the last 10 years, but there was a time the two didn't get along, with Colin's social media presence landing him in big trouble back in the day.

The two revealed on an MKR episode last year that they once despised each other, with Manu saying they started on the wrong foot when Colin judged him for becoming a TV chef.

"They said I was no longer a chef, I was a TV celebrity," Manu said on the episode, adding that he was left shocked when he was told Colin would be his co-host on My Kitchen Rules.

"I got told, 'Oh we’re going to bring in a new chef - Colin Fassnidge.' And I went, 'What?! The guy hates my guts and I hate his guts'," Manu said.

Obviously all's well that ends well, given the TV chefs have now worked together for 10 years, but they recently rehashed their drama on a new episode of Charlie Albone's podcast That's How We Grow.

"Let's cut to the chase, we didn't on," Colin said with Manu injecting, "I just don't like the way you say we didn't get on," to which Colin quickly retorted, "Was it my story or your story?"

"It's my story because you're the one who gave me crap on social media," Manu said, before Colin's defence claim of he gave "everyone" crap.

Pleading his case, Colin said he didn't realise everyone could, well, read Twitter.

"I didn't know that with Twitter, that everyone could read it," Colin said to laughs from Manu and Charlie, before going on to say he got in trouble after tweeting something about Tracey Grimshaw which he later apologised for.

On the topic of Manu he said, "I may have called him... something on Twitter, I called him a... beep," Colin said. "Then Ricky, who made MKR, rang and I said, I don't want to be a TV chef, I want to be a real chef."

Manu then revealed that Colin once thought all TV chefs were "wankers", to which Colin said, "well, most of them are!"

Speaking on how the pair became the best bros we know today, Colin said he was offered the job and accepted on the price point, before realising who his co-host would be.

"Anyway Ricky goes do you want to do this job on MKR and I'm in this board room at Channel Seven, and he goes, I will give you $40,000 a year if you do this show, and I said 'I'll play hardball, I want $45k!" Colin said.

"And I go, 'who's on this show?' and he goes 'Manu Feildel' and I was like, 'oh s**t, here we go, what am I doing?!'"

Colin said Manu was 'quite nice' to him but behind-the-scenes probably didn't want him there. "Which is fair, we weren't friends," he said. "He's the alpha dog, it's his show, and I've just come in."

"Then on the last day of the shoot we went to our rooms and I heard a knock on the door and he said 'thank you for helping me out and I apologise for being a wanker'," Manu reveealed. "And then we became very good friends. Now it's been 10 years on MKR together and last year we worked together for eight months."
