Channel Seven has officially announced that My Kitchen Rules will return for its fifteenth season in 2025 with applications now open. The show’s official social media accounts shared the news on Thursday morning, encouraging aspiring reality stars who love cooking and entertaining to apply online.

While viewers have expressed excitement over the popular TV series returning next year, especially as the current season nears its end, many people have called for a major change. Taking to the comments on Facebook, fans shared that they hope next year’s season is “less dramatic” and the teams aren’t as “nasty”.

“I hope contestants in the next round show more respect than this year. So much bad behaviour and disrespect,” one person said, while another added, “Hopefully nice people will apply! So over all this bullying and nastiness!”.

“Until they return to make it a contest to find a winning team of home cooks and get rid of all this drama and game playing l am not going to watch it anymore,” a third remarked, followed by someone else who said, “Too much drama for my liking. I used to love the show”.

“I do love cooking and entertaining. But, that’s not what this show is about. I do not do drama, bad manners, strategic actions or death staring. Thanks for inviting me to apply though but not in a million years,” a different user replied, with another writing, “I can't go on that show as I am way too nice”.

“My hubby is a great cook but there is no way we would ever apply looking at the way this once fantastic show has now turned to c**p,” a fan remarked.

“Thank you kindly for your kind invitation, but I respectfully decline, primarily I don't like situations where individuals are disrespectful towards others bordering on abusive,” another commented.
