Leaked footage reveals reality of MAFS intruder weddings

The Married at First Sight weddings are not as glamorous as they appear.

Leaked footage from the filming of the Married at First Sight intruder weddings has revealed the reality behind the lavish-looking events.

In a video shared with Yahoo Lifestyle, the truth appears to be far less glamorous than what is shown on TV. In last night's episode, intruder Evelyn Ellis tied the knot with groom Rupert Bugden, while Tasmanian nurse Tayla Winter married Hugo Armstrong.

Footage of Evelyn arriving at her wedding showed the bride filming a number of takes getting out of the limo, with the bride walking down the street with her bouquet before producers ordered her to turn around and do it again.

It was the same for her 'husband' Rupert, who was also filmed making multiple arrivals.

The current MAFS cast members who attended the wedding were also waiting awkwardly before the nuptials, with a producer hiding them behind towels.

In one photo, groom Cameron Woods is seen standing with his hands in his pockets with a producer holding up a towel while co-stars Tahnee Cook and Ollie Skelton huddled underneath an umbrella behind him.

MAFS experts break protocol

The intruders have joined the original Married at First Sight cast after Shannon Adams and Caitlin McConville left the experiment on Sunday night along with Josh White and Melissa Sheppard.

The experts broke protocol letting both Caitlin and Josh choose to leave despite their partners both writing they wanted to stay.

The experts could see the mental toll that was being placed on Josh in the toxic relationship and allowed him to quit the experiment.

“Josh, we can see clearly that you’re pretty broken right now. Considering what we’ve seen tonight and what we’ve heard, I’m going to do something that we’ve never done before,” expert John Aiken told him.

“We’ve been around long enough to know that there is no coming back for you in this experiment…right now, it’s up to you, Josh.”

The experts also gave Caitlin the same option to leave when she explained what her ‘husband’ Shannon had put her through.

After he dropped the bombshell that he was still in love with his ex last week, he then took aim at Caitlin's looks, saying she didn't "wow" him when she walked down the aisle.

The experts blasted Shannon, saying that his behaviour was “really disgusting”. While all his actions pointed towards him deciding to leave the experiment, he stunned Caitlin when he chose to stay, offering a half-hearted apology to his ‘wife’.

However, Caitlin chose to leave after the experts told her the decision was ultimately hers.
