Laverne Cox Heightens the Drama in Swiss Dot Balloon Sleeve Look for Christian Siriano’s Fall 2025 NYFW Show

Laverne Cox brought drama to New York City for Christian Siriano’s fall 2025 collection fashion show on Thursday. The actress joined several high-profile guests and A-list attendees in the front row for the New York Fashion Week event.

Cox opted for a look courtesy of Siriano’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection. The “Orange is the New Black” Emmy-nominated actress styled a black bodysuit with a nearly waist-high hemline and coordinated sheer black tights.

The bodysuit featured a standout element — Swiss dot and sequin balloon sleeves. The voluminous sleeves featured a metallic-like quality and textural element. The cuffs included a bubble hem that closed at the wrists. Cox completed the look with black pointed toe stilettos.

Cox paired the look with a statement-making choker necklace and icy crystal chandelier earrings. As for her glam, the actress opted for bold features. Cox’s bold orange hair was styled as an angular bob, with fringe to frame her face.

Her makeup included bold brows, gold shimmering eyeshadow, long lashes and a dark glossy lip for an added edge. Cox’s look made its runway debut as part of Siriano’s spring 2024 ready-to-wear collection show during New York Fashion Week in September 2023.

“He began with all-black outfits, corsets and cascading ribbons, and the lavish grandeur then crescendoed into a stream of tulle splendor on a mix of body types,” Thomas Waller wrote in WWD’s review of the collection.

“Some loose suiting, a wide-leg pant with a shrunken jacket in white and a mix of corsets in gold brocade on male models were sprinkled in. Speaking of models, many danced the runway, smiling for guests, helping push the party beyond just being about the clothes, which he topped off with diamonds by jewelry designer Josh Levkoff.”
