Kelsea Ballerini Abruptly Postpones Concerts for Health Reasons
Kelsea Ballerini is putting her health first, postponing a series of shows after finding herself unable to finish last night's performance.
Earlier this week, the 31-year-old was praised by fans for her performance in Michigan, where she revealed she had the flu but wasn't going to let it stop her from performing. She then got some rest and took some meds thinking she'd be back onstage to perform at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, on Thursday.
Unfortunately, the "Cowboys Cry Too" crooner was forced to cut her show short, apologizing in a selfie-style video for the unexpected change of plans.
"Buffalo, I am so so sorry that I could not finish the show tonight. I am sicker than I am trying to be and I did not want to let anyone down tonight, and I just got through the first few songs and I couldn't do it," Ballerini revealed in her late-night upload.
"I'm so sorry, I never want to give you a half-assed show so we are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh, and the next day, Toronto."
According to Ballerini, the postponed dates will be tacked on the end of her tour on April 11, April 12 and April 13, respectively and all original tickets will be honored at the rescheduled shows.
"I will make them the best shows I've ever played my whole life," she said. "And I will pull out every stop for you and make it so worth it."

"I'm gonna go rest now and get better so I can really show up for the rest of this tour, and I hope you understand," she concluded, adding, "thank you for the grace to be human and I love you."
Ballerini continued posting appreciation for fans in subsequent Stories, thanking one "sweet fan" in particular who made a pillow of her beloved pup Dibs, who was recently diagnosed with an inoperable type of cancer.
"I can't even tell you how much I needed this and what it means," she shared with a selfie of her hugging the pillow. "Thank you. I love and appreciate yall. see you in a few days."
So long as Ballerini's weekend of rest and recovery goes as planned, she's set to return to the stage on Feb. 10 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before continuing on with the rest of her tour.
