Kelly Clarkson Announces Major Career News: 'So Excited to Be Back'

Kelly Clarkson has fans going wild after dropping a major career announcement during the middle of the latest broadcast of her beloved talk show.

On Thursday, Feb. 6, Clarkson took to Instagram with a major career update: a new 18-show Las Vegas residency.

"I’m so excited to be back in Vegas! We’re bringing the studio to the stage this time with 'Studio Sessions'!" she wrote. "See you soon! Be sure to sign up for fan club emails on my website, they could contain fun things! Link in bio."

Her new venture, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions - The Las Vegas Residency, will be held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, according to the post. Shows will run from July 4 to Aug. 16 and pick back up from Nov. 7 to Nov. 15.

Tickets for Clarkson's Studio Sessions residency will be available to Citi cardmembers in a presale starting on Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. PT through Feb. 13 at 10 p.m. PT. Beginning on Feb. 8 at 10 a.m. PT, her fan club will also have early access to tickets.

The American Idol alum first teased the thrilling news in a dressing room video on Instagram on Wednesday, Feb. 5, with someone behind the camera asking if she had plans for any more concerts or residencies this year.

“Um, I don’t know,” she said with a hint of sass in her voice and a twinkle in her eye, before suggesting her followers tune into her talk show today, Feb. 6 in the caption.

"Finally! The day we’ve all been waiting for," one fan breathed a sigh of relief in the comments, while many begged and pleaded for her to come to their area.

It's been several years since the "Breakaway" songstress went on tour. Most recently, she headlined her first Las Vegas residency after COVID-19 canceled her original plans. Fans had been itching to see her take over Madison Square Garden, ala Harry Styles' Harry's House, since she moved her talk show to NYC, but New York City fans will have to keep crossing their fingers.
