Jennie Garth Reveals What '90210' Cast Privately Discussed After Walsh House Survived L.A. Fires (Exclusive)

Jennie Garth and her Beverly Hills, 90210 castmates will always hold the famous Walsh house close to their hearts—especially in the wake of the devastating wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles last month.

Garth, 52, reflected on the Walsh house surviving the Eaton Fire in Altadena while exclusively chatting with Parade ahead of her “I Choose Me, Los Angeles” live podcast event at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, which takes place on Saturday, Feb. 8, and features Naomi Watts, Yvette Nicole Brown and more.

"It's a pretty strong energy that's kept that show alive all these years [and] kept all of the members close and working," Garth tells Parade. "There's something really, strangely strong and powerful about that whole situation. To see that the next door neighbor's house is gone and the Walsh house is still standing, it's really hard."

She continues, "I know that house means a lot to a lot of people. People go there all the time and take pictures in front of that house because it really represented something, a part of their history, and they have a really beautiful connection with it."

Garth goes on to tell Parade that she and the 90210 crew have been talking about the Walsh house in a private group chat, and that they are in awe that it was spared, considering the extensive damage done to neighborhoods, businesses and more.

"We were passing around that article [about the house surviving] and we were all like, 'I cannot believe that the house is still standing right there,'" she recalls.

Though Garth and her former castmates are thankful that the house survived, the "I Choose Me" podcaster says her heart still breaks for the loss endured by the community.

"My very favorite hike was the Eaton Canyon hike, and I've been told that it doesn't look the same," she says. "I'm really heartbroken about that and all the people in Altadena. It's just a very blue collar, hardworking community, and it's going to take a while [to rebuild]."
