Interesting detail spotted in Home and Away: 'Noticed it'

Home and Away has been on Australian screens for 35 years, so it’s no surprise that the soap has seen many babies come and go. Over the last few years, fans have seen Tori Morgan’s (Penny McNamee) baby Grace and Billie Ashford’s (Tessa de Josselin) baby Luc on the show, with Summer Bay’s newest addition arriving last month.

Ziggy Astoni (Sophie Dillman) and Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) have finally had their baby girl Isabella. While the pair have been acting out an emotional storyline involving Ziggy struggling with feelings of inadequacy as a mum, one fan has spotted a strange coincidence.

On the Home and Away Spoilers & Info Facebook page, one eagle-eyed viewer pointed out that Isabella has been dressed in the same clothes as Grace wore when she was a newborn.

The fan shared a snap of Jasmine Delaney (Sam Frost) holding her stepdaughter Grace and compared it to Mackenzie Booth’s (Emily Weir) scene with Isabella last week. The two babies appear to be wearing the same infant bodysuit from Target.

“I’m guessing I’m the only one that would have noticed this. My daughter was born in 2020 about the time Tori had Grace. At the time Grace would wear a set of Target baby clothes that we also owned,” she wrote.

“When watching the Thursday night episode, I noticed Izzy [was] wearing the same clothes.”

She added that Grace’s wardrobe options increased as she grew older, but cycled through a couple of outfits as a newborn.

“They probably bought this set in multiples in different sizes. So each onesie probably hasn’t been worn as much as we’ve [seen] them on TV,” she guessed.

Fans were excited by the revelation, with many saying they hadn’t noticed the small detail.

“Not many bubbas in Home and Away so guess [there is] only a small wardrobe. Good pick up,” one person wrote.

“Good to see wardrobe are being thrifty,” added another.

“They reuse the same ‘style’ suits cause they are basic. They said they don’t really like patterns and stuff like that, so they tend to go for plain colours or stripes,” a third pointed out.

“Grace had a lot of the same outfits and toys as ‘Luc’ too! (Billie’s daughter),” another said.

One fan also shared some wardrobe secrets from when her mum worked on the soap.

“My mum used to be a nanny in the studio for Tori’s baby (twins) and they always had basic clothes in tubs, so I’m presuming they just reuse the same ones.

"She loved it! Always had a story to tell when she got home,” she spilled.
