Home and Away's Sophie and Patrick's plan to 'elope in Vegas'
The loved-up pair have been dating since 2019.
Wedding bells are ringing for Home and Away’s fan-favourite on and offscreen couple Sophie Dillman and Patrick O’Connor, who play Ziggy Astoni and Dean Thompson. The pair, who have been dating since 2019, have hinted that they could be tying the knot shortly.
While the stars are on the same page when it comes to settling down, they don’t seem to agree on what their wedding should look like. Sophie, 30, suggested to New Idea that the pair could “elope in Vegas” to avoid stress.
“I’ve recently had a few girlfriends wed and seeing them go through all the stress of planning big days…maybe we’ll just elope in Vegas!” she told the publication.
“The full Las Vegas Elvis drive-through wedding experience!”

Patrick quickly dismissed her idea as a joke, saying that their families wouldn’t be happy to miss their big day.
“I don’t think our families would ever forgive us,” he laughed.
Sophie and Patrick have known each other for years and even attended the same acting school in Queensland before being cast in Home and Away.
The chemistry between the couple led to their characters getting together in Summer Bay, and it wasn't long before the pair were together in real life as well.
Sophie admits she’s ‘scared’ by milestone
In Summer Bay, their characters are getting prepared to welcome a baby into the world. Promos have shown a first look at their new family, with both Ziggy and Dean looking at the bundle of joy with love.
Sophie has previously admitted that the storyline they are portraying on screen has pushed the couple to discuss starting a family in the future.
“It is really strange to talk about pregnancy and babies with your partner that is your partner in real life, and on set,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.

While the couple have discussed having children, that’s something they want to do in the future — not right now.
She reveals that it has been confronting going through huge pregnancy milestones with her real-life partner by her side.
“All of a sudden, all these feelings and thoughts come into it like oh my god, what happens if we actually have a baby? Is this how it works? Will you be scared, I’m scared! Am I meant to be this sick?” she explained.
