Home and Away's Ada reveals health scare: 'Can't feel my leg'
Ada Nicodemou is recovering from an unfortunate accident.
Home and Away star Ada Nicodemou has had to take a break from filming after she suffered a major back injury. In a candid Instagram story on Monday, the actress revealed that one simple act caused “excruciating pain” last week.
The star, who plays Leah Patterson on the soap, admitted that her serious injury stemmed from just a single sneeze.
“Funny thing happened. Woke up Thursday morning, quite early, to go to the gym, and I sneezed,” she told fans.
“And [then] I was in excruciating pain, couldn’t walk, couldn’t do anything. Had to basically lie flat on my back.”

The star went on to add that she ‘can’t feel her leg’, and isn’t sure when she will be able to return to normal daily activities, like filming the soap.
“Anyway, I’ve done something. I think I’ve got a bulging disc and now I can’t feel my leg, and I don’t know when it’s going to heal.
“So, yay, to me sneezing,” she said sarcastically.
Fans were quick to wish the actress a quick recovery on social media, with one saying they have had a similar issue in the past.
“Ouch you poor thing. I hope you are better soon Ada, love and best wishes,” a fan wrote.
"OMG! I did the same thing many years ago! I sneezed and I have three bulging discs in my neck and one herniated! We must be passionate sneezers!" another added.
“Hope she has a speedy recovery,” a third chimed in.
"Looks like Ada [will] be off filming for a few days," another remarked.
The star also shared another snap of two books she’s reading while she is unable to work, Verity by Colleen Hoover and Again, Rachel by Marian Keyes.

Ada Nicodemou's 'weirdest moment' on Home and Away
This comes after Ada shared her 'weirdest moment' on the Summer Bay set.
The return episode showed fan favourite Leah involved in a horrific car accident, with the Summer Bay local hyperventilating in the car after being impaled by a metal fence pole.
While the car accident looked extremely real, Ada Nicodemou explained to fans it was actually a blast to shoot. In a video posted on Instagram, she shared the bizarre way the impact of the crash was filmed.
Sitting next to James Stewart, who plays her onscreen boyfriend, the pair sat in a stationary green vehicle and pretended to drive.
A few seconds in, the pair lift their arms as if they’ve been in a car accident, with Ada falling down in her seat and James throwing his head onto the steering wheel. A blast of wind is sent towards the star during the action to make it look more realistic.
As soon as the shot was finished, Ada burst into laughter while seated in the car.
“This would have to be one of the weirdest things I’ve had to do on set,” she quipped in the caption.
