Home and Away's Ada Nicodemou shares epic throwback snap with Chris Hemsworth: 'The golden years'

The beloved Aussie actress also shared a clip of her first scene in Heartbreak High.

Home and Away has created some massive Hollywood celebrities over the years, from Isla Fisher to Guy Pearce and the late Heath Ledger. But none are more iconic (or famous) than the hunky Chris Hemsworth who played Kim Hyde from 2004-2007. In a truly epic throwback, Ada Nicodemou - who plays Leah Patterson Baker in the long-running Aussie soap - shared a photo of her and her castmates from back in the day, taking long-time fans on a trip down memory lane.

"The ultimate #HomeandAway #ThrowbackThursday," Ada wrote alongside the photo. "Who remembers all their character names?"

Featured in the photo, along with Ada and Chris are Isabelle Lucas (Tasha), Jason Smith (Robbie), Richard Price (Dylan) and Laurie Foell (Josie/Angie) - a bit of H+A trivia that many of Ada's followers nailed. Along with reminiscing about the different characters, fans also fondly recalled that particular era of the soap.

"The golden years," one fan remarked.

"I miss these days, I was a kid back then so everything was simpler," another pined.

"When Home and Away was the best," someone else remarked.

Someone else mused, "The good old days with the good story lines and they let couples be happy for a little bit longer than they do now."

Home and Away fans slam missing details in Leah and Justin's wedding

Fans of the soap were also delighted this week as Ada's character, Leah, wed her love Justin (James Stewart) in the most anticipated TV wedding of the year - making it her fourth time down the aisle.

Despite the massive excitement that the couple were finally tying the knot after some insane storylines including a cult and a kidnapping, viewers were also dismayed that more of the cast was not in attendance at the nuptials.

"It was a beautiful wedding, just wish they had more of the cast attend the wedding than all the extras we have never seen," one person pointed out.

"There was a lot who were not at the wedding, Bree, Levi, Mac, Flick, Tane, the two sisters..." another fan rattled off, naming many missing main characters.

"Lovely wedding! Where were Cash, Flick, and Mac?" someone else asked.

Having now seen the incredible throwback snap Ada shared, we can't help but wish that Kim, Tasha and Robbie had made an appearance too!

Ada's first scene in Heartbreak High

Another throwback that had Ada's fans excited was a clip of her very first scene as Katerina Ioannou in the original Heartbreak High series.

"Omg look what I found!! My first ever scene on #HeartbreakHigh 🫣😱," she captioned the video on Instagram. "Fun fact - Peta Toppano played my Mum on Heartbreak & on #HomeandAway! ❤️ And so sorry for the bad acting, this was literally my first ever acting scene #green"

"I used to love the OG Heartbreak High!" one fan enthused. "You had the acting ability back then and not a damn thing has changed."

"I love this show so much," another said. "Any chance of a cameo on the new Heartbreak High?"

"I did Heartbreak High when I was sixteen… Heartbreak’s now on Netflix and I just can’t watch it because I’m too scared to see what my acting was like, and my dancing as well," Ada told New Idea.

"I thought I'd just do this 12-week (guest role) on Heartbreak High and go to university, and that would be the end of it. I never even really wanted to be an actor! I sort of just fell into it, and kept going."
