Hi-5 stars tease long-awaited reunion on Today: 'Breaking news'
Nathan Foley said they were ‘in conversations’ to reunite in 2025.
Three of the original members of the beloved Australian children’s group Hi-5 surprised fans on Tuesday morning when they reunited for a TV interview on Today. Fill-in hosts Samantha Armytage and Dan Anstey were joined in the studio by Nathan Foley and Tim Harding, while Charli Robinson joined via video call in Brisbane with her daughters Theadora and Kensington.
The group were speaking about having a recent resurgence in popularity on TikTok when the conversation turned to a potential reunion. The original members officially left the group by 2008, with Kathleen de Leon Jones being the first to exit two years earlier, and they haven’t performed together since then.

Charli shared during the interview that her children had become obsessed with Hi-5’s music and TV show and her daughter Theadora “wants to be in another Hi-5”.
“Breaking news!” Charli remarked, to which Samantha responded, “Is that a scoop?”
Theadora then clarified that what she wants is for the original Hi-5 members to reunite and put on another show, which Nathan and Tim admitted they’re all for.
“We'd love to as well,” Nathan said. “We've been talking about it. Funnily enough, Tim and I have been talking about putting something together next year to take something back to the Hi-5 fans. So it's just about getting everyone together in the group to be able to do that as well.”
Nathan added that he would be keen for Hi-5 to perform an 18+ tour around Australia, similar to what The Wiggles’ original line-up did in 2022.
“I mean, I don't know what Jup Jup and Chatterbox would do. He's going to be pretty raunchy,” he joked. “But no, it’s definitely in conversations. We do want to get out there and do something.”
Major theory about Hi-5 reunion
Fans took to social media following the interview to express their excitement over a potential reunion, with one person writing: “Would be so good to go to a reunion concert with my daughter.”
“Oh my god, there better be a reunion! We just need Kathleen and Kellie on board. I would cry,” another added, while a third said, “Hi-5 was one of my childhood shows growing up! You guys should all have a reunion!”
“Ummm Hi-5 reunion tour please happy for it to be adults-only shows,” someone else replied.
Others questioned whether the group would make a surprise appearance at Carols by Candlelight on Christmas Eve, although it wasn’t promoted during the Today interview.
“Surely not a coincidence that it's the same day and network as Carols by Candlelight,” a fan commented, followed by a different user who said, “Omg if you guys appear in the Carols by Candlelight, I will legit cry”.

Charli Robinson spills on reunion plans
This isn’t the first time Hi-5 has teased a reunion, with Charli telling Yahoo Lifestyle in 2022 that she would love to organise something in the near future for her daughters to enjoy.
“Nathan and Tim originally contacted me [to do a reunion] and I was pregnant, so I couldn’t do it - unless I was going to do it as a cow costume or something. It just wasn’t going to work,” she detailed. “But it’s funny because now my girls want to go to a Hi-5 concert. So I’ve been chatting a lot with Nathan and he’s really up for it, I’m really up for it, and we’re like, ‘Let’s do it’.
“I’ve spoken to a lot of people and we can make it work. I really do think it could happen, and I’m pretty sure Tim is on board as well. So we’ll just make sure the girls are right now because I think they were before.”
