The highly-anticipated second season of FBoy Island Australia is set to premiere on August 5, with Abbie Chatfield returning as host to call out the men on their bulls**t. Not only is the BINGE series one of the most unique reality shows on Australian TV, but it also has one of the best success rates with two of the season one couples still going strong a year later.

Ahead of the premiere, here’s everything you need to know about how the show works, who’s in the cast, and where you may have seen them before - because it wouldn't be Australian reality TV without a crossover!

If you didn’t watch season one - or did and have simply forgotten how the show works - FBoy Island follows three women as they try to determine which of the 24 contestants are the Nice Guys looking for love and who are the self-proclaimed FBoys only there to play the game and win the $50,000 cash prize.

If a woman chooses a Nice Guy at the end of the series then they split the money, but if an FBoy is picked then he holds the power to either share the prize or keep it all.

Season two will star Krystal Thomas, Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov as they work together to eliminate the FBoys and send them to ‘Limbro’ - which is where Abbie makes them reflect on their questionable behaviour in the hopes of turning them into Nice Guys.

Reality TV viewers would be familiar with Krystal Thomas as she was a fan favourite on The Bachelors Australia in 2023 as Felix Von Hofe’s second runner-up. The UK-born Queenslander, 28, is a self-proclaimed corporate powerhouse who wears her heart on her sleeve and isn’t afraid to call it like it is.

Meanwhile, 27-year-old Queenslander Ally Woodfall has her own connection to reality TV as she previously dated season one FBoy Vernon Lyon - until he ghosted her. Despite her history with FBoys, her heart is still open and she’s hoping to find a true connection on the island.

Rounding out the trio is 26-year-old Geelong-based model Nicole Mitrov, who has an infectious energy and hopeful heart and is determined to find a man who truly sees and hears her.

So far BINGE has announced 21 of the 24 contestants, with three men expected to join as intruders partway through the competition. Viewers won’t learn who the Nice Guys and FBoys are until they are eliminated, or picked at the finale.

The season two cast includes 28-year-old account manager Wes, 35-year-old adrenaline junkie and ex-military man Aaron, 28-year-old music teacher Dart, 25-year-old electrician Doug, 30-year-old basketball player Nuggett, 28-year-old gardener Jerome, 31-year-old stuntman Eddy, 25-year-old DJ Frank, 27-year-old real estate agent Jack, 31-year-old TikTok star Jake, 25-year-old influencer Jin, 25-year-old rigger turned model Joe, 30-year-old stand-up comedian Lewis, 23-year-old model Joey, 30-year-old musician Minjarrah, 27-year-old stripper Mitch, 34-year-old youth worker Norman, 32-year-old gym manager Paddy, 23-year-old construction worker Sean, 32-year-old fashionista Timothy and 27-year-old expat Vicente.

Krystal isn’t the only person who might be familiar to viewers, with two contestants - that we know of - previously appearing on reality TV.

Paddy Colliar was the “loveable larrikin” on Ali Oetjen’s season of The Bachelorette in 2018 and went on to appear in the second season of Bachelor In Paradise the following year. Although he was a bit of a player on the Bachelor franchise, we’ll have to wait and see if he’s changed his ways and now identifies as a Nice Guy.

Meanwhile, Jake O’Brien competed on The Amazing Race Australia in 2022 with his long-term partner Holly MacAlpine where they dropped from 1st to 18th during the second leg and were eliminated. The 'model couple' also appeared on the first-ever season of MTV’s Ex on the Beach: Couples last year, but haven’t posted any photos together on Instagram since December 2023.

However, Jake posted a TikTok to his almost 700,000 followers earlier this month dancing and hugging Holly alongside the caption: “Guess who’s back.”

Jake noticeably isn’t included in the group photo of the FBoy Island season two cast taken on the night of the premiere, so it will be interesting to see how he fits into the show. However, given he and his ‘ex’ Holly are seemingly back together - if they ever broke up at all?! - it’s safe to say he won’t be winning the season.
