Meghan Markle's latest return to Instagram has been seen as a "clearly significant" snub of her husband Prince Harry, according to a body language expert. The Duchess of Sussex began the new year by sharing two posts on her new Instagram account @Meghan.

Her first post came on New Year's Day, which saw Meghan running barefoot along the water and writing '2025' into the sand before smiling at the camera and running out of the frame. Her second post was the trailer for her new Netflix series With Love, Meghan.

Body language expert Darren Stanton tells Sky News that Meghan is "reminding people she is an independent person and confident within herself" in the first video.

"It is clearly significant that she hasn’t included Harry in that segment as well."

He added, "She’s signalling freedom and individuality, solitude in a positive sense."

Stanton believes her solo video indicates she's keen to release more projects without Harry this year, as the pair continue on the path of separate professional lives.

"She’s trying to portray this idea that she’s going from strength to strength and will continue to do so throughout 2025," he said.

While Harry made a brief cameo in the trailer for With Love, Meghan, it's believed he will not feature much in the series, which explores the Duchess' domestic life of cooking, gardening, baking and more with some of her famous friends.

With Love, Meghan is an eight-episode lifestyle series, which premieres on January 15. The show "reimagines the genre of lifestyle programming" as the Duchess of Sussex shares her favourite tips for cooking, gardening, crafting and more alongside celebrity guests.

Meghan took to Instagram on Friday morning to share the first trailer for the long-awaited series, which she executive produced as part of her $100 million Netflix content deal with Prince Harry.

While Meghan turned comments off on her Instagram post, many people took to Netflix's profile to express their excitement over the new series.

"Can’t wait to watch, looks incredible!" one fan wrote, while another added, "Wow what a great series for the new year."

"What a thrill to have Her Royal Highness the Duchess back on our screens. It will be a fantastic year," a third replied, followed by someone else who said, "THIS IS MY MARTHA STEWART!!!! I need cooking book, I need cooking show, gardening show, etc."

Others were less positive, with one person writing, "So this is Meghan who wanted privacy and normal life?"

Another added, "I thought they wanted a quiet life out of the spotlight? So confused!"
