After establishing Colter’s connection to Gina’s sister Camille (Floriana Lima) in the Oct. 13 premiere, the missing persons case received nary a mention until Episode 6, when Colter linked up with Keaton (played by recurring guest star Brent Sexton). After he helped the retired cop solve his own white whale case, Keaton offered to return the favor.
Two weeks later, Colter received a phone call from Keaton. He gave Colter an address, and told him to get there as soon as possible. Colter came to find that Keaton had tied up a potential suspect — a former associate of Frank Whales, the man he has long suspected took and/or killed Gina.
“We got into something,” Whales’ associate told Colter. “Wasn’t our fault, heavy stuff… we didn’t have a choice.” He revealed that a man who goes by Teacher “knew things about us. Bad stuff. Held it over our heads. Even the others…. He kept a long line of pretty boys to do his bidding.” Teacher wanted Gina, and he made Whales lure her to a place called The Farm. “He said he planted things there.”
Colter asked Whales’ associate if Gina was still alive, but before he had a chance to answer, the episode cut to black. “To be continued….”
Episode 9 (airing Feb. 16) picks up immediately where we left off. Per CBS, “a new lead in Colter’s white whale case brings him and retired cop Keaton back together to track down a serial killer.” Along the way, Colter is reunited with Whales (Ryan Dorsey). Meanwhile, the trailer shows our hero consoling Camille — make of that what you will.
The 60-second promo also teases several guest stars in the second half of Tracker Season 2, including Aaron Stanford (12 Monkeys) and Amy Pietz (Caroline in the City). Watch it in full, then hit the comments with your reactions.
