Cobra Kai Creators Promise One More 'Karate Kid' Cameo Before the Show Is Up: Who Will It Be?
The final five episodes of Cobra Kai are slated to drop on Netflix on Feb. 13, and the creators of the show have confirmed that one star from the original trilogy will make a cameo appearance in that final batch.
In an interview on the red carpet at SCAD TV Fest in Atlanta, Ga., series creator Josh Heald confirmed "there is one more cameo in the back five episodes" while being interviewed alongside co-creators Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg. Excitingly, this will be a character who has not yet been in the show, according to Heald. "They are from the original trilogy," he added.
The Netflix drama, which stars Ralph Macchio and William Zabka reprising their roles from the original franchise, has used cameos effectively over its six-season run. Martin Kove popped in for the Season 1 finale as Johnny Kreese. Elisabeth Shue returned in Season 3 years after playing Ali Mills Schwarber, a love interest of both Daniel and Johnny; and Yuji Okumoto has appeared as Chozen Toguchi since Season 3.

So who will cameo in the final batch of episodes?
The most likely candidate would seem to be Darryl Vidal, Pat Morita (Mr. Miyagi)'s stunt double in the original movie. Vidal also played a version of himself in the movie, depicting a fierce opponent to Johnny in the All Valley tournament, and a cameo appearance by him in the final run of episodes would be a fun surprise.
Another possible option is Jonathan Avildsen as Snake, although this seems unlikely as he is mentioned to have died within the universe of the show. Also a long shot is BD Wong, who made a small appearance in The Karate Kid: Part II.
With Heald confirming that the cameo is from someone who appeared in the original trilogy, it seems unlikely that one of the bigger names to appear in The Karate Kid franchise, Hilary Swank, could be it, considering she first starred in The Next Karate Kid. It's also unlikely to be Jackie Chan as Mr. Han, although he will appear in Karate Kid: Legends, scheduled for release in May 2025.
