Chris Hemsworth reveals truth about sons' 'horrible' haircuts after backlash
The Transformers One star has finally addressed speculation that he cuts his kids' hair.
Chris Hemsworth attended the Australian premiere of his latest film Transformers One in Sydney this week alongside his co-star Brian Tyree Henry, director Josh Cooley, and his family. While he may be the star of the animated movie, voicing the iconic character Optimus Prime, all eyes were on his 10-year-old twin sons Sasha and Tristan on the red carpet.
The Thor actor shared a series of snaps from the event on Instagram on Thursday, including a sweet family photo with his wife Elsa Pataky and their two sons who both had very questionable haircuts. His followers quickly took the comments to point out the boys’ ‘bowl cuts’ and ask whether Chris did them himself.
“Christopher did you give your kids bowl cuts?” one person wrote, while another added, “Oh Chris who cut the boys' hair?”.
“Sort out boys’ haircut,” a third bluntly replied, followed by someone else who said, “Honestly the most iconic haircuts I have seen in my life on kids”.

Chris finally addressed the speculation in a series of media interviews on Friday, telling Nova 100’s Jase & Lauren that their sons actually cut their own hair.
“You wanna know the truth? My two boys and about six of their friends have all started cutting this kind of like, bowl cut haircut,” he revealed. “Now Tristan, his mate did that, and then he went to the hairdresser just to straighten it up, so it’s been done by a professional. Sasha's haircut, I did myself, but it was under strict instructions of what to do.
While Chris admitted he isn’t too sure about their haircuts, he said that the boys “think it’s cool”.
“I was like, ‘You look like Lloyd Christmas from Dumb & Dumber’,” he remarked. “They were like ‘What? Shut up dad, I hate you!’.”
'Hairdressing has always been my one true passion'
Chris also joked about his son’s haircuts in an interview on The Project with Boy Swallows Universe actor Felix Cameron, who asked for some tips on how to style his locks.
“Have you seen my sons' haircuts?” he replied. “I cut one of their hair like that under strict instructions of how to do it, but my other son did it himself with a mate.
“He had a comb in his pocket and made it look like that and you were like, ‘Did you use a bowl?’,” he said to Brian. “I could cut your hair, or my kids could! We would have a hell of a time.”

Chris’ controversial haircutting skills first made headlines last month when he shared an Instagram post showing off his sons’ unique ‘dos.
“Hairdressing has always been my one true passion and as you can see the results speak for themselves,” he wrote.
“Don't care how hot you are. Not coming near me any tools,” one fan commented, with another writing, “You are a great actor. Can somebody hide the scissors?”
“Fortunately for them, horrible haircuts is the latest fashion,” a different user responded.
