Cheez-It Unveils New Flavors Just in Time for National Pizza Day

Cheez-It fans were devastated when the brand discontinued its Cheese Pizza flavor in 2023, but now the popular cracker is getting back in the pizza-inspired snack game with two brand new items.

Just in time for National Pizza Day on February 9, Cheez-It is introducing two pizza-based flavors: Cheez-It Snap'd Extra Crunchy Margherita Pizza and Cheez-It Duoz Pesto + Mozzarella.

According to a press release, the Cheez-It Snap'd Extra Crunchy Margherita Pizza crackers are "coated in margherita pizza seasoning," with every bite delivering a "burst of flavor featuring the sweetness of tangy tomato, bright notes of basil and olive oil, and the creaminess of mozzarella."

The Cheez-It Duoz Pesto + Mozzarella flavor, meanwhile, is a "pesto cracker" made with a "lively blend of green herbs, olive oil and savory Italian cheeses, balanced with a hint of garlic."

Both flavors will permanently join the brand's "pizza-flavored lineup," which currently includes Cheez-It Puff'd Cheese Pizza Snacks.

Starting today, Jan. 14, the new Cheez-It products can be ordered on the brand's website, becoming available nationwide by March 2025. For one day only, on February 9, fans can score 20% off plus free shipping on bundles of both flavors in honor of National Pizza Day by using the code PIZZA20 at checkout.

Some fans might have already gotten their hands on the crackers, however. In November, popular food blogger Markie_devo leaked the pizza flavors with an image on Instagram featuring a selection of new snacks, revealing that they'd been spotted at Hy-Vee.

Commenters were definitely ready to start snacking.

"Those extra crunchy pizza Cheez-Its are a must," wrote one person.

“Pesto is a unique flavor for crackers! I want to find those and try 😊.” another chimed in.
