Yahoo Lifestyle Cardi B Fans Wish They Could ‘Unsee’ the Rapper’s Questionable New Body Piercing
Many Cardi B fans were left scratching their heads after the rapper announced she'd gotten a questionable new piercing—and even more were befuddled when she provided the photographic proof.
The "WAP" performer is no stranger to risqué style choices, but the intimate location for her latest one proved to be a little too much for some of her fanbase.
"Soooo …….i got my butt crack pierced 🤭," she tweeted on the evening of Monday, Jan. 27, and followers quickly presumed her to be playing a joke.
"How does that work? Asking for a friend," one replied to what another called the "odd post."
"How?" another emphasized.
"Yo Cardi, what does this even mean? On God, that is not a thing! 🤣," another declared, while someone else told her, "photo or it didn’t happen."
Not one to be questioned, the mother of three quoted the request on the social media platform with a close-up cropped photo that Parade has chosen not to repost here, showing two apparent diamonds embedded in the skin at the top of her tattooed rear. "Do I lie?" she joked.
"there is NO WAY omg," one fan wrote in shock, while another reply said, "i feel like i know you very personally now 😭😭😭😭."
"What’s the reason behind it? Pun intended," someone else questioned.
"What happens if you forget it...for months ???" another worried, while several also expressed concerns about the ability to keep the area sanitary given its sensitive location.
"How to unsee this ? 😭," another startled follower typed in response like it was a search engine.
While Cardi's latest bling has certainly divided the internet, she wouldn't be the first (or likely the last) to try out the piercing known by professionals as a vertical back dermal. And as fans suggested, the piercings–like any other–do pose certain risks if not properly healed, cleaned, or cared for, something her piercer most likely discussed with her before the artist went through with the commitment.
