One scene in particular had viewers feeling mixed emotions.
Trigger warning: This article contains references to infertility and miscarriage which some readers may find distressing.
Bluey fans eagerly tuned into the season three finale 'The Sign' on Sunday, with the 28-minute-long episode being the last for quite some time as the creators take a hiatus. Speculation had been swirling in the lead-up to the final instalment that the Heeler family might be selling their beloved Queenslander home and moving elsewhere after a tantalising cliffhanger at the end of 'Ghost Basket.'
However, much to the relief of viewers (both the adult and child variety) who worried the potential move could hint at the series coming to an end, it was revealed in 'The Sign' that Bluey and her fam will be staying put. Producers have also assured us that there will be plenty more Bluey in the future.
Following the episode airing, fans shared how emotional they felt - with one scene in particular prompting an outpouring of sharing and support in an online Bluey fans forum.
"I've not been through this personally just wanted to put it out there....," someone started a post.
They continued, "If you are a person who's has experienced infertility issues and finding out Brandy was pregnant isn't a positive experience for you.... THAT'S 100% OKAY. It can be comforting to see ourselves in the media we love.... and to also feel left behind when those characters pass us by."
She concluded the post by writing, "Sending love."
The post referred to a brief scene at the end of 'The Sign' where Chilli lovingly touches her sister Brandy's baby bump. Brandy's struggles with fertility were seemingly referenced in the 'Onesies' episode, making it a sweet ending to the season finale that she may finally be expecting.

For some though, it was a poignant reminder of their own struggles which they shared in over 400 comments under the original post.
'Gives me some hope'
"After nine losses I found this humbling," one person shared. "Trying again now after my last loss and it gives me hope, along with plenty of real women's stories."
"I know it's not everyone's opinion (and that's totally valid to feel that way!) but I teared up when I saw pregnant Brandy because with my own struggles, seeing someone have a success gives me some hope that one day I'll have a success too," another person wrote.
Another said, "I struggled to get pregnant for a while and I’m pregnant now with my first and seeing this made me cry like a baby. This show is so relatable."
"I was thinking the same thing when I saw Brandy pregnant," said someone else. "As a multiple loss mumma, lots of love to everyone who found that hard. Thank you for posting this"
"This perspective is so important, it’s a hard struggle and not many understand what type of headspace it can put you in," someone else offered.
Fans share mixed feelings about pregnancy reveal
Many others weighed in saying that the reveal had given them mixed feelings, making them sad for themselves, yet happy for Brandi.
"Omg thank you for this," someone said. "I’ve been having the HARDEST time trying to reconcile my feelings over an anthropomorphic cartoon dog getting to do something I’ve spent literal thousands of dollars chasing."
"I have mixed emotions I can't lie," another added. "On one hand, I’m happy, and this brings me hope. On the other hand, I’m somehow jealous of a cartoon dog."
Added a different fan, "Thank you for this. I very much had mixed reactions, and this was a powerful reminder that’s it’s ok to honor our authentic feelings."
'She was a character we could relate to'
Meanwhile, others worried that perhaps the series had lost a touch of its relatability by changing the narrative of a character that people struggling with infertility had previously been able to see themselves represented in.
"Makes me sad. She was a character we could relate to," one viewer said. "Infertility isn’t all happy endings. I’m truly happy for everyone who can relate to her, but we no longer can."

"Agree I related to her so much til then," someone else said. "I am Childless Not By Choice after my hysterectomy and ovaries removed."
Another person wrote, "I admit that I felt a bit betrayed by this decision. I can't have children, all my siblings and siblings-in-law have big families. I really felt seen and understood with Brandy, but now it just feels like 'it's a kid's show so everyone should get a happy ending' and I admit that it hurts much more than I want to admit. It won't stop me from watching the show, but I don't like this creative decision."
"And that's okay!" they added. "Not everyone will like everything."
