Bleiberg Boards ‘Escobank’ About Missing Pablo Escobar Fortune

EXCLUSIVE: Bleiberg Entertainment has picked up worldwide rights to action-thriller Escobank: The Hunt For Pablo Escobar’s Lost Fortune, ahead of the European Film Market in Berlin.

Currently in post, the film stars Zohar Liba (El Cid), Dana Frider (Let the Party Begin), Angel Bonnani (7 Days in Entebbe), Geroge Iskandar (Dirty Angels), Rodrigo Poisón (Balas y Katanas) and Harlys Becerra (Locked Up).

Escobank tells the story of a ragtag group of misfits, veterans and ex-cons who embark on a perilous journey in the jungles of Colombia to find the buried barrels of cash left behind by legendary drug kingpin Pablo Escobar before his downfall.

Pic was written by Yaron Nativ, Sharon Shaked and Orit Liba, with the latter directing as well. The film was shot in locations including Miami and Guatemala and was produced by Yaron Nativ for NN Image LLC/Escobank Pictures LLC, Haim Yehezkel and Shirly Balila.

Negotiations were handled by Zohar Kadmon and Tomer Shmulevich for NN Image LLC and Ariel Bleiberg for Bleiberg Entertainment.
