Since taking on the role of Lily Bloom in the film adaption of Colleen Hoover's novel It Ends With Us, Blake Lively has committed to her character's chaotic sense of style while on set. From mismatched camouflage to peek-a-boo boxers, the actress's outfits have been polarizing to say the least. And now that it's time to promote the movie, Lively is seemingly bringing Bloom's quirky aesthetic off-screen—albeit with a glamorously sexy twist.

Case in point? On Friday, Lively attended a Q&A session with Hoover and her co-star Brandon Sklenar at Book Bonanza in Texas, where she wore a black sheer shirt dress that completely showed off her matching strapless bra underneath. Further embracing the exposed bra trend, Lively left the top half of her dress unbuttoned for a full lingerie-inspired look. The dress also featured a micro-mini hemline, as well as a floral garden motif constructed from sparkly beads.

Lively accessorized with strappy sandals, a smattering of rings, and a low-slung ponytail that pulled soft blonde waves away from her face. Meanwhile, her makeup included a swipe of coral-colored blush, highlighter applied to both cheeks, and light pink lipstick.

During the event, Lively gushed about her friendship with Taylor Swift and how the pop star is connected to her latest project. Swift's 2020 song "My Tears Ricochet" is featured in the official trailer for It Ends With Us, and Lively couldn't have thought of a more perfect match.

“Them together made a lot of sense,” said Lively of the Swift and Hoover crossover. “Colleen is able to tell something that’s deeply personal and intimate but is able to resonate with so many people. And Taylor, she’s such an incredible writer. She writes from such personal experiences and vulnerability.”
