Ashley Tisdale still thinks about East High School now and then.

The actress' older daughter, who's still a toddler, just watched High School Musical, the uber-successful 2006 Disney Channel movie she starred in with Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, Lucas Grabeel, and Corbin Bleu. And she had an unexpected reaction.

"About a year ago maybe, my husband showed her, and I was like, 'What are you doing?'" Tisdale explained with a laugh in a recent episode of the Breaking Beauty podcast. "And she thought Zac Efron was her dad. I was like, 'No! That's not daddy.' She was like, 'Daddy!' I was like, 'No, no, no! Just cause they have dark hair ... not Daddy.'"

Tisdale shares her two young daughters with Christopher French, who she married in September 2014, more than eight years after the original High School Musical's premiere. Jupiter will be 4 in March, while Emerson is just four months old.

In the film, Tisdale played Sharpay, one of the side characters of the song-and-dance-filled story focused on Troy (Efron) and Gabrielle (Hudgens). The story spawned an entire line of HSM content, including a TV sequel, a theatrical sequel, a movie spinoff just for Tisdale's character, and one of the more confusingly named TV series ever, called High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

Efron would probably laugh at the story. In June, he was asked to comment on both Tisdale and Hudgens, longtime close friends, becoming moms. (Tisdale had a second daughter in September, while Hudgens and husband Cole Tucker welcomed a baby last summer.)

"Oh they're going to be the best moms ever, those girls," Efron told Access Hollywood. "Are you kidding me? Oh my gosh. Yeah, we're going to have some fun family reunions coming up."

Tisdale noted on the same podcast that her daughter also watches her mom on Disney's cartoon Phineas and Ferb, on which she voiced Candace Flynn and other characters. Though the series stopped producing new episodes in 2015 it's still on the air.
