“I am choosing to keep the details private but I'm all good dw [don’t worry]. I will need a month to recover, meaning I have to cancel the North American tour next month. I'm so sad right now.

“I'm very sorry but I need to focus on my health for a month. I hope you understand and I promise l'll be back as soon as I'm recovered. Much love from sad Amy.”

Amy had announced in June that she would be performing a run of 16 shows across the United States and Canada from September 6 to September 26.

The Gold Coast-born star, who has been awarded eight ARIA Awards throughout her career, recently released her new single Can I Shower At Yours.

'Health is everything'

A number of Amy’s famous followers took to the comments on her Instagram post to share their well wishes, including Rebel Wilson who wrote: “Sending you love Amy.”

“Help yourself first in order to help others with the positivity and inspiration you give!” SAS Australia’s Ant Middleton replied. “Stay strong, take the life lessons from it and grow.”

“You first. Health is everything,” Julia Morris shared, followed by Tina Arena who said, “Rest up Amy”.

“Sending love babe,” The Veronicas’ Jessica Origliasso wrote, while Sam Fischer added, “So sorry legend. Sending big healing energy and love to u mate”.

Amy’s post comes after she won the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent at the 2023 TV WEEK Logie Awards, beating out Flex Mami, Kween Kong, Lilliana Bowrey, Ayesha Madon and Chloé Hayden.

“I’ve been fortunate enough to do many things I love in music, but in the last 24 months I’ve worked really hard on expanding my interests and have loved working in television,” she wrote on social media following her win.

“To be a Logie nominee, let alone a winner, has really rocked me. I’m emotional today. I really can’t thank my team enough for your belief in me.”
