Woman's clothing ad derailed by X-rated detail

A woman was left mortified after an eagle-eyed shopper spotted a rather personal item in the background of her photo as she tried to sell some of her clothes.

Posting the ad on Depop – an app to sell secondhand clothes – people were quickly distracted by the X-rated blunder in the image, rather than the clothes she was offering. Can you spot it?

Indeed, the woman had left her vibrator on full display, which one person then decided to point out to her.

“Not sure if you know but your vibrator is in the background of your pic,” the person sent in a message.

To which the woman responded: “Omg, omg, omg YIKES. I literally had no idea, thanks for letting me know.”

The seller was likely able to delete the faux pas from her Depop account, however, the image and the exchange were then shared to a ‘Depop Drama’ Instagram page, quickly sparking a host of hilarious reactions.

“Mad respect to whoever pointed it out,” one person said.

And the jokes rolled in.

“It’s just vibing in the back,” one person quipped.

“Props can really make your image pop,” another said.

While a third wrote: “Buzzing about my new item.”

It’s not a first time someone has shared something slightly more risqué than they meant to online.

Just this week a Facebook Marketplace user also shared a little more than intended when she posted an ad for a washing machine online.

A second glance at the advertisement left people gobsmacked when they realised the seller had been captured in the snap, reflected in the stainless steel washer. The woman was completely naked, her full body on display as she reached across to capture the snap.

“When you're VERY serious about laundry day,” one person joked.

One couple also went viral last year after sending some holiday photos to their parents, sharing the hilarious exchange to Twitter.

“Will not be sending more holiday pics in a hurry,” the woman wrote, adding screenshots of a message exchange with her mum.

“Dad said the pics are lovely, nice Durex bottle,” was her mum’s response.

She tried to say it was her partner Elliot’s “knee cream”, but her parents weren’t fooled.

“Dad zoomed in!” her mum replied.
