Couple mortified after sending X-rated photo to parents

Keeping your family updated while you’re on holidays is a sensible thing to do. But one young couple was left red-faced after accidentally sending a happy snap with a rather x-rated inclusion.

Taking to Twitter to share the awkward blunder, the young woman named Kels shared a screenshot of the text conversation she had with her mum after sending her parents some holiday photos.

“Will not be sending more holiday pics in a hurry,” she tweeted alongside the image in question.

The image appears relatively harmless - a hotel room snap of the pair ready to head out. But it’s what is sitting on the counter below the mirror that caught her parents’ attention.

“Dad said the pics are lovely, nice Durex bottle,” was her mum’s response.

Kels tried to talk her way out of it by saying it was her partner Elliot’s “knee cream”, but her parents weren’t fooled.

“Dad zoomed in!” her mum replied.

“Ell is mortified.”

The tweet quickly went viral garnering 45k likes and almost 3,800 retweets. Some people seemed unimpressed with the couple’s hotel room items but Kels hit back telling the haters to “calm down”.

Most people however saw the funny side and laughed at her mishap.

“I am crying,” was one person’s reaction.
