Whitney Leavitt is ready to get real about her marriage's hardest days.

In the premiere episode of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, Whitney and husband Conner Leavitt return to Utah after taking a few months to live in Hawaii. While many believed the time away was due to the MomTok soft-swinging scandal — and rumors that the couple were involved because of Whitney's proximity to Taylor Frankie Paul — the two reveal there were other factors at play.

Whitney talked to Conner about opening up to the rest of MomTok about the reality of their situation, a conversation that seemed difficult for the couple to navigate.

"I feel like we ran away from something. I don't want to lie about it anymore," Whitney tells her husband.

Whitney explains to Conner that Taylor asked her about rumors Conner was found to have a profile on Tinder. Earlier in the episode, some of the MomTokers discuss the rumor, noting Whitney said someone was just imitating her husband on the dating app.

“I just think that at the time, I didn’t want to say anything because I didn’t know what I wanted," she says.

Conner says he feels bad but doesn’t want to "flip the script" and act like a victim because “these are actions I took."

"I had a real problem and it turned into something that really hurt my wife and I’m so sorry. I’m working on myself. But yeah I’ve reached a point where I really don’t care what anybody outside my inner circle thinks.”

Whitney explains that they've lied about his because it breaks a covenant with God. "I'm a little nervous about what they're going to think. I don't know if they're going to hate you or hate me for making the choice to stay with you. It's a pretty deep wound. I want to tell them now."

Later, Whitney asks the women to get together. She prepares to tell them the whole truth about what's been going on. In a confessional, she shares her belief that if there are "no other secrets between us," the group may be able to move forward.

As she opens the conversation, she begins to cry. “There was a rumor that Conner was on Tinder, I don’t know if you guys remember that rumor. Of course, you do," she says.

"And I lied about it because I was embarrassed.," she adds. "I didn’t even know it was true until I confronted Conner. I went to him, like, ‘Look at this joke.’ There was more to that. He had been struggling with a porn addiction and I didn’t want to say anything. I didn’t want to come out because I just feel like there’s a whole story. There’s a reason why people do certain things and I think he was just confused."

She continues: "I literally hadn’t told anyone. It’s just something that they’re working through.”

The women then begin to ask questions, which leads Whitney to clarify that while there was no physical cheating, the issue has been going on, "our whole marriage."

"Full on conversations with women and pictures and all of that stuff," she says, clarifying Conner was both sending and receiving nude photos. "It makes me feel like my whole marriage was just like a lie."

Whitney also took a moment to apologize to Taylor directly.

"I originally told everyone that I left because of all the MomTok drama, that I felt like I couldn't go anywhere. But honestly, we left because I just wanted to get away. I wanted to get away from everything so I could just think for myself. I'm sorry because that wasn't the reason," she said.

In a confessional, Taylor is frustrated but also vindicated by Whitney's news. "Holy f---. I would say I am the scapegoat for why Whitney moved to Hawaii," she says.

"I've just been lied to all summer. What the hell? I'd rather have a mean bitch as a friend than a freaking nice girl."

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives premieres on Friday, Sept. 6 on Hulu.
