Today host vanishes during mid-show due to health concerns
Today co-host Allison Langdon vanished from the desk during Monday’s broadcast, with viewers wondering what had happened to her.
Karl Stefanovic was left to explain her mysterious departure, saying that Allison wasn’t feeling great and had a ‘frog in her throat’.
“Welcome back to the show. Man down, man down,” Karl joked, while pointing to the empty chair beside him. “Ally’s unfortunately had to go home, she’s got a very sizeable frog in her throat this morning. She’ll be back on deck tomorrow,” he told viewers.

As Karl looked slightly flustered while gesturing to Ally’s chair, Brooke Boney tried to put the co-host at ease.
“You look more relaxed Karl,” she laughed, before Karl made a cheeky quip aimed at co-host Allison.
“Look, she does put me on the edge. I never know what’s going to come,” he joked.
“Hopefully a day rest will sort her out,” Brooke replied.
Sunrise host Kochie vanishes during show
Allison’s departure mid-show comes after David ‘Kochie’ Koch also disappeared from the Sunrise desk in early May.
After departing abruptly at 5:56am, his co-host Natalie Barr was left to explain his absence while sports reporter Mark Beretta sat in Kochie’s chair.
“You may notice something slightly different,” she joked.
“Kochie came in [and] he bravely fought on for about 25 minutes. He had laryngitis yesterday and apparently he’s still got it. He couldn’t really speak,” she continued.
“Yeah, he didn’t like it when I suggested that he just have honey before every intro, he thought that that might bring on diabetes or something, but he could have done more,” newsreader Monique Wright quipped.
Mark stepped in for Kochie for the 6 o'clock hour and at 7am Michael Usher joined Nat as co-host for the morning.
