The Block fans in tears after Eliza and Liberty's emotional confession

The fan-favourites let their walls down as they said goodbye to the reality show.

With this year’s season of The Block quickly approaching its end, Eliza and Liberty both broke down in tears during Monday night’s episode as they reflected on their journey.

The sisters, who had the least amount of renovation experience entering the show but ended up winning an impressive three room reveals, spoke candidly about how the reality series has changed their lives.

“This show has done so much for us in so many ways,” Liberty shared in her final piece-to-camera interview.

“I can't recall the last time in my normal life where I've felt genuine excitement, and I've had so many amazing moments like that where I’ve felt genuine happiness and excitement and I honestly can't tell you the last time I felt that in my life.”

Liberty went on to say that she feels very thankful for the experience because it allowed her to step out of her comfort zone and shake up her everyday routine.

“I almost worry about how I would’ve been if I hadn't done this because I was just so set in my ways and I just didn't ever take risks or do anything spontaneous,” she remarked.

“I didn’t like who I was becoming, so I think now I actually like who I am.”

Eliza added: “We just feel very lucky and hashtag grateful.”

“It took a lot of courage coming into a show like this and pushing their own boundaries,” someone else said. “I think their skill level and confidence grew so many levels. Well done girls I so enjoyed you on the show and hope this takes you on another great chapter in your life.”

“Girl power! Good on them for giving it a red hot crack,” a different user replied, followed by another who wrote, “The sisters are a breath of fresh air in such a toxic environment, they never played against anybody and were amazing.”

'So much better'

Monday night’s episode of The Block also saw the other teams reflect on their experiences and how it affected both their lives and their relationships.

“I do feel like the relationship is just tenfold stronger, and I didn't expect that coming into it,” Brett said about his wife Kristy.

“I didn't know what to expect, but that will be the biggest thing I take away from The Block, that our relationship has gone through this tough thing and come out the other end so much better.”

Leslie also shared that she feels “very lucky” to have done the show with her husband Kyle, while Ash said the experience only reaffirmed his love for his wife Leah.

“I knew that Leah’s my person forever before I got on here, but I know even more now,” he said.

“I think we finished it really well and we felt good,” Leah added. “We’re really happy and we know what we're capable of, and we can probably now just go and do anything.”
