The Block announces All-Star cast returning for 'never before seen' project
22 fan-favourite contestants are coming back for season 20.
Following months of speculation, Channel Nine has finally announced that a group of All-Star contestants will be returning for The Block's milestone twentieth season. The fan-favourite teams will be giving a helping hand to the new cast while also working together on a secret project.
“As this season builds to the auction, a select group of the All-Stars will be helping this year’s Blockheads to create something never seen on the Block before,” Channel Nine said in a statement.

2022 winners Omar and Oz will also return with their season 18 co-stars Tom and Sarah-Jane, as well as two-time competitors Ronnie and Georgia who competed on season 13 in 2017 and season 17 in 2021.
Rounding out the cast are 2020 winners Jimmy and Tam, 2019’s Andy and Deb, 2014’s Kyal and Kara and Michael and Carlene, 2012’s Dale and Sophie, and Alisa and Lysandra who won season seven in 2013 and returned for season eight the following year. Interestingly, Dale and Sophie appeared on the same season as Dan Reilly who has since become the show’s foreman.

This year’s season is filmed on Phillip Island with the teams transforming rundown holiday homes into luxury properties designed by the show’s longtime architect Julian Brenchley.
Host Scott Cam, who’s returning for another season alongside Shelley Craft, said in a statement: “When I drove into the site for the first time I knew it was going to be a big job for our contestants.
“The houses are enormous and when you walk around the site, there are surprises at every turn, including a tennis court and a swimming pool.”

Meanwhile, there’s been a change on the judging panel this year as real estate director Marty Fox is officially replacing longtime judge Neale Whitaker alongside Shaynna Blaze and Darren Whitaker.
Dan Reilly has also become the show’s sole foreman as Keith Schleiger wasn’t able to make the move to Phillip Island, although both Neale and Keith are expected to make guest appearances.
The upcoming season of The Block is set to air on Channel Nine in August after the Olympics.
