The Bachelors reveal shock sex rule change: 'Much steamier'

The three leads of The Bachelors, Felix Von Hofe, Jed McIntosh, and Thomas Malucelli, have shared the shock change to the show, revealing they are able to have sex with their contestants.

Appearing on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, with former Bachelor star Brittany Hockley filling in for Jackie, the boys made the surprise admission.

The admission came after Kyle Sandilands bluntly asked the stars, "Any rooting on this season?"

"You have the option," Felix told the hosts, leaving Brittany shocked.

"Wrong season, darling, sorry! You could have got smashed against a wall," Jed joked.

"Had my toes sucked, who knows what could have happened!" Brittany added.

Kyle questioned whether or not there was "any action", whether it's on camera or behind the scenes, with Jed telling him he'd "have to ask" Felix.

"I reckon it gets much steamier than it has on any of the other Bachelors before, but I will say, like obviously these days there's a consent chat and everything to happen, so if you're still in the mood after a 40 minute chat of, you know, 'Are both parties willing?'" Felix shared.

Kyle questioned whether the Bachelors had to speak with a psychologist before they were able to be alone with a woman, with Felix joking, "It's a three-week process before you can actually proceed."

"That's a mood killer, right!" Kyle said as the boys laughed.

"This is very new to the franchise, very new to me, you're not even left alone on the previous season, you could not even do anything if you tried," Brittany shared. "How does it work now? Do you get like a suite that you're allowed to go to and obviously there's no cameras, it's more like implied, 'Go have a good night'. Or is it just like a time frame that you've got to get back to action?"

Jed shared that at the boys' penthouse, they had individual rooms, a spa and a pool, adding, "So you have the option if you want to, you know, hang out with them later, you can do that."

The Bachelors premieres on January 9 on Channel 10.
