As seen in Instagram clips from recently aired episodes of their show, Tammy and Amy were butting heads during their night out together, with Tammy, 38, reprimanding her sister for "acting a fool" while riding in the limo after she made vulgar comments and at one point, passed gas.
Tammy then told Amy, 37, she was being "rude" and "disrespectful," adding that she was "done" putting up with her sister's antics.
In her confessional, Tammy said Amy "needs to learn how to act right in public," while Amy said that her older sister "rags on everything I do say or speak."
Fans on the internet were divided over the situation, with some users claiming Amy needed to "reel it in," while others thought Tammy was being "mean and boring" and not letting her sister have any fun.
As a result of the situation, Tammy took to Instagram on Thursday to address the limo scene, stating in the video, "everybody hates me right now," while insisting that there was a "back story" to explain her behavior.
"I wasn't trying to bash Amy. I love Amy to death," she prefaced while revealing that at the time of filming the scene, Amy was still dating her problematic now ex-boyfriend Kevin.
"In that time period, Amy was drinking a whole lot," Tammy explained, noting that Amy was "drunk" before they filmed the limo scene.
"She was embarrassing me," Tammy said, adding that her sister was "being so immature" during their limo ride, making vulgar comments to the driver, and at one point, she also "spilled the food everywhere," according to Tammy.
Tammy made a point to apologize for her tone during the confrontation, but her initial reasoning for the argument still stands.
"I am sorry for the way I treated her. I am sorry for the names I called her, but at the same time, she was reckless and didn't care about nothing," Tammy said. "It's embarrassing sometimes."
She ended the video message by directly addressing her sister, telling her, "I am sorry, Amy. I do love you. But I have to be honest and true to myself."
