Sunrise's Nat Barr and David Koch terrified by Halloween prank: 'Hilarious'
Sunrise hosts Natalie Barr and David ‘Kochie’ Koch were left terrified on Monday morning after their colleague surprised them with a scary mask to celebrate Halloween.
In a two-part video posted on the breakfast show’s Instagram, a Channel Seven employee is shown putting on a Scream mask and costume before going around Brekky Central and scaring different people.
“It’s Halloween time! Watch me scare the crew,” they wrote in the video’s caption.
After frightening two of the show’s producers, the person crept up behind Edwina Bartholomew and Mark Beretta at their desks.
“Oh s**t,” Edwina exclaimed, while Mark let out a small scream and quickly wheeled his chair away.
“Far out!” he shouted before bursting into laughter.

The employee later switched costumes to wear a Friday the 13th hockey mask and carry a fake knife covered in blood to try and scare The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies.
They sneaked up behind their chairs and tapped Kylie on the shoulder, who squealed in terror and threw her papers on the floor at the sight of the masked figure.
“Could we get some adult diapers to studio one please?” Larry, who didn’t react to the prank, joked.
‘Why would you do that?’
The final victims of the prank were hosts Nat and Kochie, who were discussing a story about Lindsay Lohan on the Brekky Central couch when the disguised employee popped their head up between them.
Kochie was the first to see the Scream mask and shouted in horror, while Nat screamed and moved away.
“Oh f**k!” Kochie shouted. “Oh f**k. Why would you do that? Oh f**k.”
“I guess you can't use that take,” Nat laughed to the producers.
‘So funny’
After the two videos were shared on social media, the comments section was quickly flooded with laughing emojis.
“Honestly in stitches,” Sarah Di Lorenzo wrote, followed by Kochie’s daughter Georgina who said, “I cannot stop watching this”.
“Sorry guys, but that was so funny,” another added, with plenty of people agreeing the prank was “hilarious”.
“Soooo funny made my day,” a different user shared.
“Watched twice just for Kylie’s reaction,” one follower replied, while someone else said, “Gotta love Halloween”.
