Simone Ashley channels Brit style in tweed and shearling
We Brits hold heritage styles close to our hearts, with tweed maintaining a perpetual place. It's little surprise then, that Simone Ashley's latest look is a masterclass in how to style the classic pattern with a sleek, modern spin.
The Bridgerton star stepped out in New York yesterday, proving her impeccable taste with yet another great outfit. In between press engagements for her upcoming film, Picture This, Ashley was photographed wearing a Harris Tweed mini dress with a black and silver double belt, mixing an endearing heritage design with more contemporary details.
She styled the dress with a Nineties flair, wearing a black leather Nour Hammour coat with a plush shearling collar, cut in a flattering mini design, with a pair of black pointed knee-high boots. Scoring extra points for attention to detail, Ashley carried a tweed mini bag by Coperni which expertly matched the pattern of her dress.
The actress accessorised the look with a pair of elegant elongated glasses and chunky entwine hoop earrings from Missoma's Lucy Williams collection. Her Nineties homage extended to her beauty look too, wearing a dark plum lip liner with a glossy pink lip.

Ashley's look tapped into the countryside trend that's been circulating the collections this season. Capes, riding boots and Fair Isle knits formed central components of the upcoming season's trending pieces, with Dior's 2025 Cruise Show kicking off the heritage trend last June with Maria Grazia Chiuri's sartorial ode to Scotland's rich history.
Her elegant displays of style have come as the result of her collaboration with Rebecca Corbin-Murray, one of the most in-demand A-lister stylists of the moment. Speaking to Bazaar last year, the 29-year-old shared an insight into their working relationship; "She’s more than just a stylist; she encourages her clients to be smart businesswomen, and truly cares about what we do and the choices we make," explained Ashley. "She has such a great eye and has taught me so much about fashion. She’s helped me develop my look and really pushed me in new directions with it."
