Royals 'distancing themselves' from Harry and Meghan after major change

It would seem as though the royal family hasn't updated their website in three years.

A royal expert has claimed the royal family is 'distancing themselves' from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle after they made a major change to the official biographies on their website.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been moved down the list of royal family members, placing them next to the Duke of Gloucester and the Duke of Kent, and above Prince Andrew, with Harry's styling as His Royal Highness being deleted quietly.

When Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior members of the royal family in 2020, the Palace had initially said they could keep their HRH titles, but an agreement was later made that they would discontinue using them.

It would seem as though the official royal website hadn't been edited in the three years since they left. Interestingly, Meghan's HRH title was removed three years ago, except for one quote from a speech made in 2019.

The UK's Express also revealed the royals had also left another "major blunder" on the site, with Harry being referred to as the youngest son of the Prince of Wales, which was King Charles' former title, before it was passed to Prince William after his ascension to the throne last year.

William and Kate Middleton were also referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, and not the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Speaking about Harry and Meghan being moved down the page, royal author Richard Fitzwilliams told MailOnline: "This clearly shows that the royal family is distancing themselves from a couple whom they must, for obvious reasons, regard as unpredictable and unreliable."

He continued, "It was well known that Harry and Meghan were extremely bitter at being forced to step down as senior working members of the royal family and, although they kept their titles, being unable to use them and also losing their patronages."

"However their brand is currently inextricably linked to being royal. The challenge they face is to prove they are actually creative at doing something for themselves."
