Robert made a cameo appearance on the reality show in 2016 alongside his mother Terri and sister Bindi where they spent a few hours in the camp as part of a challenge.

He recently told Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie that he loved the experience of being on set and knew from that moment it was something he wanted to be a part of in the future.

“I remember when I was probably like 10 years old when I went over and saw it, watching Julia up there and Chris I thought, one day I want to host that. And now I'm doing it, it’s kind of weird,” he recalled.
