Robert Irwin Announces Major Career Milestone: 'So Honoured'

Through the years, Robert Irwin has followed in the footsteps of his parents, Terri and the late Steve Irwin, as a conservationist. The 21-year-old has also leaned into the entertainment side of things—and recently, Robert announced a major career milestone.

On Friday, Feb. 7, the former Crikey! It's The Irwins star took to Instagram with exciting news for his followers.

"I am so honoured to win the AACTA award for Favourite Australian Media Personality," Robert wrote. "A big thank you to @aacta and everyone who voted. I was so stoked to be in such amazing company with my fellow nominees - this was such a cool surprise."

He concluded, "I am so grateful that I get to use my passion and voice to advocate for the environment and hopefully spread a bit of positivity."

In the comments, Robert's fans congratulated his recognition from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts.

One person wrote, "We love you Robert! Your dad would be so proud of you!!! ❤️❤️❤️."

Another Instagram user clarified, "Fav INTERNATIONAL personality! ✨👏 congratulations Robert!! 🥳✨🏆," as someone else echoed, "Right on young fella! I voted for you and clearly a bucket load of others did too!"

Meanwhile, a different follower chimed in to declare, "A thousand, million percent YES!!"

Previously, Robert was nominated for two Logie Awards—one in 2013 for Steve Irwin's Wildlife Warriors and one in 2024 for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here. He also received a Shorty Award nomination in 2020 for his work oi Crikey! It's the Irwins.

Currently, Robert is still busy co-hosting I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here alongside Julia Morris. He previously made a cameo in the kids' animated series Bluey in 2020.
